Chapter 8: Ogres Have Layers

"Arielle honey, you need to get up, you have school in an hour"

Thanks Abby. Now I actually need to get out of bed.

I quickly shower and get myself ready for school the way I usually do. I run downstairs and grab a bowl of cereal for breakfast and then gab my bag ready to walk out the door.

"Oh honey, Will is going to take you, you don't have to walk"

"Oh no Abby it's fine I can walk"

With that I start to walk down the long grand driveway.

Will pulls his car up beside me

"Get in babydoll"

"William I'm not getting in you car, I'm happy walk"

"Seriously Ariella, get in my car"

I just shake my head at him and keep walking

"Look, I'm sorry for yesterday. Just get in the fucking car"

He said I roll my eyes at his language and keep walking.

He pulls the car up in front of my so I have to go around it, then he gets out.

He grabs my arm

"Can you just get in my fucking car please?" He pleads

"No" I simply reply

"Why not Ariella, I'm trying to be helpful"

"Well firstly, you swear too much just like Brooke does, secondly you were rude to me yesterday and thirdly I can't be bothered"

With that he picks me up and plops me in the passenger seat of his car

"You are coming with me"

"Won't it ruin your precious reputation"

"I don't care, it's not like we are gonna walk in holding hands or something"

I just roll my eyes and focus on the road ahead.

We get towards the school gates and I start to get nervous about what people might think about me getting out of Wills car.

Once he parks, I step out of the car and so does Will. I feel every pair of eyes in the school staring at me with wide eyes. This is so embarrassing.

Will puts on his reflective sunnies and throws his leather jacket over his shoulder,

"See you later babydoll"

Then he walks away. I start to walk into school towards my locker so I can put my stuff away and see Brooke.

As I walk through the hallway I can hear all the whispers

"did you see that slut that got out of Wills car?

"Who even is she?"

"She's just another one night stand"

"Obviously he was so desperate to choose her"

And last but not least,

"Omg something more than sex must have happened last night, HE TALKED TO HER"

What was with all these people, do they not get that I can hear them.

I just stand at my locker for a while. I didn't really want to go around and hear more whispers.

"What's wrong babydoll"

"It's all the fucking whispers Will, they all think I was your one night stand last night. Haven't you heard what they are saying. I just hate gossipers and whisperers ahhhh" I say annoyed

He leans to the locker right next to me on one arm, silk wearing his sunniest and holding his leather jacket over his shoulder.

"Wahey, what's wrong with being with me" he raises an eyebrow

"It's not being with you, they all think that your that desperate that you chose me and they think we did a lot of naughty stuff as you talked to me, I fucking hate gossipers and whisperers"

"Wow you must be really annoyed if you keep swearing. But don't even worry about all the people, just ignore them. They are all pussies cause they can't say it to your face. Okay. Cheer up baby doll" he says as he lists up my chin with one finger in his last sentence. Then he walks of, not before sending a wink my way.

"Ladies" I hear him greet a bunch of girls and they all immediately fan girl and scream, shouting he said something.

He really was starting to change already. He talks to me, he eats with his mum sometimes, he greets people in the hallways at school.

All I needed to do was to find out what made him shut himself out so it can be fixed and he will be the guy he was before.

"Hey Ar, you missed me?" I hear someone call from behind. I turn around and see Cooper standing there arms open wide.

I run and give him a hug

"Coop, awww I missed you so much"

Everyone gave us weird looks and started whispering again.

"Are they dating?"

Cooper got annoyed and then shouted out to everyone

"This is my damn sister guys. Seriously"

All the gossiping stopped after that.

I had finally met Brooke and she noticed that cooper was back. We decided to catch up on each other like we always do when we get together.

She told me how she heard all the gossiping and told people to back off. That my girl.

Her eyes then widened as she looked behind me. I turn around and see Will standing there smiling.

"Stop smiling like that, you look like shrek" I exclaim

Wills eye brows immediately furrow and he continues with,

"Ogres have layers, but My friends wanted to meet you two so you have to come sit at my table"

"And ruin shreks reputation, nah it's ok we will stay here"

"Babydoll, I didn't ask you, I told you."

He then grabs my arm and starts to lead me towards his table. He ignores all the stares and whispers we get (for the third time today)

Once we arrive at the table, all the boys eyes light up. What the hell, why did that happen? That was so creepy. So now he had more friends that one. And they all wanted to meet me. So now he is friends with all his old friends again I'm guessing.
