Episode 1

I guess we were heading to Fort Benning. Rick tried to contact Morgan again. It's been a day and a half since the CDC blew up. I don't know what else to do. It's been hard. 125 miles to Fort Benning. Rick and Lori explained what happened when they went to the Grand Canyon. Carl threw up so much when he was a baby. I giggled like crazy as Carl nudged me. I did the same to him. I side-hugged him and we all made a decision for us to go to the Grand Canyon, along with Sophia and Carol. Then we saw the road was blocked off by so many cars. Plus, Dale's RV hissed and stopped. The radiator hose ruptured and they needed a new one. So we searched each car for anything useful. Some got gas while others looked for food, water, clothes, anything.

"Carl, Jamie, stay within my sight, okay?" Lori said and we nodded.

"You too, Sophia," Carol added and Sophia nodded.

Andrea went into the RV to figure out how her gun works. Shane found water and he and Glenn cheered. Then Rick ran to us quietly and told us to get under the cars. Carl and I got under one while Sophia the other. We held each other as the horde kept coming. I saw one go into the RV where Andrea was. I hoped she was okay. When we thought it passed, Sophia looked to check. Bad move. Two walkers started coming after her. She got out from underneath the car and ran into the woods with the walkers behind her. Rick followed them. Carol was scared to death of what could happen to Sophia. We waited for them to get back, but Daryl, Glenn, and Shane went after him. T-Dog cut himself on a broken windshield during the horde. When Shane and Glenn got back, they informed us Rick and Daryl were still looking.

"Hey Jamie. Come on, I got something to show you," Carl said.

I followed him to a black truck where a dead person was and saw he had an arsenal. He opened the front door and tried to get it.

"Carl, I don't think this is a good idea," I responded.

He didn't listen and when he got it, the body fell, but luckily it wasn't a walker. We showed it to Shane, but he blew us off. We still waited for Rick and Daryl. And when they got back, Carol was devastated.

"How could you just leave her out there?" Carol asked.

"Carol, listen. I know what you're going through. I don't know where my parents are. I would love to go and find them. But my place is here. Rick and Daryl are doing everything they can for Sophia and you. And I know they would do the same for me and my parents. So please trust them," I explained.

I walked away. I said what I said the best way I knew how. Later on, we went through the arsenal that Carl and I found. We didn't want to use our guns because it could attract more walkers. We each took one sharp weapon and we were going to split up to find her eventually. T-Dog and Dale stayed behind because of T-Dog's injury. Carl and I wanted to go with them. In the meantime, we kept looking for Sophia. We saw a tent and when we checked it, Sophia wasn't there. We then heard church bells and ran towards the sound. But when we found the church, there weren't any bells. We walked in and killed three walkers with machetes. When we heard the bells again, it was coming from intercoms. We turned them off and stayed at the church for a little bit. Carol went in to pray while we stayed in the back. I really felt bad for her, losing her daughter like that. Then when we went to go look for Sophia, Carl and I volunteered to go with them. No one argued, so they went off and Rick went into the church for some clarity. When he came back, he still wasn't sure. So, we went looking for Sophia.

"Hey Jamie. Can I talk to you?" Rick asked.

"Yeah. What's up?" I replied.

"I wanted to thank you for talking to Carol. I appreciate it; I know Daryl does too. And you were right. I would help you find your parents," he said.
