Preview of Season 5 Part 2
Episode 5
I wondered if Abraham and the others made it to D.C. yet. I hoped they were okay. My thoughts always drift to the people that either aren't with us anymore or they leave on a run and don't come back for a while; no surprise there. I do feel that the world can go back to the way it was, but even if it doesn't, I'm happy I'm with Carl. If this didn't happen, I don't think I would have a strong bond with the Grimes family like I do now.
Episode 6
Beth and Carol are still no where to be found. Could they have been kidnapped? Killed? No Jamie, don't think like that. I gripped my keychain and held it tight. I prayed that they would be okay. I wanted to make sure that no one else died, but not all prayers are answered the way we want them to. Just trust that God will make everything right no matter what He decides to do.
Episode 7
Daryl came back with this guy named Noah who knows where Beth and Carol are. In the mean time, we were boarding up the windows, getting the pipes off the organs to use as spikes, chopping the pews up, any means of protection. Rick was going to Atlanta with the others while Michonne, Carl, Gabriel, Judith, and I stayed. They boarded up the doors while I comforted Judith since she was crying. Gabriel was trying to get the blood stain out of the wood from when Gareth and his group died.
"There's no point," I said.
"Why? This is God's house," he replied.
"Listen, I still believe in God too. I'm still trying to understand why He allowed this mess to happen. But I'm still trying to beat this world as best as I can. You need to as well. So don't worry about a place that we may not stay in for long and help us protect it as long as we can," I explained.
I walked away, but it didn't seem to sink in with him. I saw Carl still boarding up the doors.
"Carl, can you talk to Gabriel?" I asked.
"Did you already?" he wondered.
"Yeah. I think my persuading skills are limited and this wasn't one of those times where it made a difference," I answered.
"Okay. I'll talk to him," Carl agreed, kissed me, grabbed some weapons, and approached him.
He told him that we could teach him how to defend himself. He picked a machete, but said he had to go lie down, which he did. I gave Judith to Michonne and we decided to train ourselves with our sharp weapons. We practiced and Carl was really good. When he locked our weapons together, I snuck a kiss. When he let his guard down, I pinned him.
"You can't let your guard down, Sheriff," I smirked.
"You cheated," Carl replied, trying not to smile.
"No, I didn't. I just found a way to distract you," I said flirtatiously.
We went back inside and saw Michonne talking to Gabriel. I saw Judith playing a little bit and Carl picked her up and I sat on the pew closest to them. I could hear him humming the lullaby I always sang to her as he was dancing with her. I loved every minute of it. She smiled and that melted my heart. When he was done, he put her back in her little bed and sat by me.
"That was adorable. Even though it's a girly song," I replied jokingly.
"I know. But it was for her," he said.
"I saw her smiling at you. I about cried," I confessed.
"She's a happy baby. I love her and I know you do too," Carl told me.
"You know it," I agreed.
We kissed again and then I rested my head on his shoulder. I know we'll be okay, no matter what happens.
Episode 8
We heard Gabriel screaming from outside. How did he get out there? Michonne chopped the wood off the door then opened it. A horde of them came in. We fought them off as much as we could, then made it into the office. Gabriel told us there was a way out under the church. We got Judith and crawled out until we made it. We hammered the doors shut and wrapped a belt around the door knobs. The walkers tried to get out, but the doors were holding.
Michonne questioned Gabriel about where he went and he said the school. The boards on the door started coming loose, then a fire truck crashed into the stairs. It was Abraham and the others. They told us Eugene lied about the cure. We told them Beth was alive and in a hospital in Atlanta. We packed up and left for that hospital. It was a long drive though. I started dozing off.
"You awake in there?" Carl asked.
"Yeah. At least I'm trying to," I answered, stretching.
"I understand. You want a shoulder? You like to sleep there," he responded.
"I do. It's because my favorite place to sleep is with you. No matter where we are," I said.
I laid on his shoulder and hugged his arm. He rested his hand on my thigh and kissed my temple. We finally arrived, but Carl, Judith, and I stayed inside the truck. We saw the doors open as they approached with Carol. But when we saw Daryl, he was carrying Beth's body. I cupped my mouth shut as I cried. Carl hugged me, also on the verge of tears. Seeing Maggie break down also broke my heart. The only family she has left now is Glenn. I buried my face into Carl's chest as he held me. This wasn't supposed to happen. Why?

A/N Beth is dead and everyone is heartbroken by the outcome. What's in store for the group? Where will they go since the church is no longer an option?
