Episode 5

I still feel...conflicted. I'm still wanting to go out and find our group. There's only one MAIN reason why I'm not: Carl. I haven't told him, but I need to. Just so I can get it off my chest and he can tell me what's the right call. I mean, a lot of us want to go and fight the Saviors and kill Negan, but we all have a job that we have to do. But I still want to make sure that Negan doesn't hurt my group. Or Maggie's group. Or Ezekiel's group. Negan's already taken so much from us all and he will pay. I just hope that making him pay won't come back to haunt us.

Episode 6

Michonne, Carl, and I opened the gates for Tara and her group. They gave us letters from the others that explained what happened. As we read them, my heart didn't break, but it was sore. Carl held my hand and I gave it a gentle squeeze. This has become so much crazier than we thought and we need to know what our next action will be.

Carl and I went out on another run when we found a walker impaled, reaching for a bag. The guy we saw at the gas station killed it and we got his attention. We introduced ourselves and he said his name was Sadik. We gave him food and water then told him about our community. But we had to ask the famous three questions and they were all accurate. Then he talked about our parents and I almost felt tears coming as I remembered my real ones. Carl noticed, put an arm around me, and held me close.

"We have to honor our parents, right?" he pointed out.

"If we were honoring my dad, we wouldn't be here," Carl said.

"Or offer you to be a part of our community," I added with a weak smile.

We led him toward Alexandria when we saw walkers eating an elk. We took out our knives and got ready. We killed some, but then Carl got shoved into he elk remains.

"Carl!" I shouted as two walkers ganged up on him.

Sadik took out some while I killed one of the walkers that piled up on Carl. Then I got the other, with some pain on my hip, and helped Carl up. But then I noticed a bite mark on his shirt.

"I got bit," he whispered.

Tears filled my eyes as I lifted my shirt to show the bite mark above my hip.

"I did too," I told him.

Sadik killed the last one and with that, I hugged Carl and he hugged back. Sadik told us he didn't want trouble and that Rick didn't want him in. But Carl told him that sometimes the kids need to find their own way to show their parents the way. He got his backpack and we kept going.

As we kept walking with Sadik a little behind us, I felt tears coming on. I let out a sniffle accidentally and quickly wiped the tears away. But Carl looked to see me and stopped.

"Sadik, can you stand guard for a minute?" he requested.

"Yeah," Sadik answered.

Carl took us to the side and cupped my face.

"Babe, what's wrong?" he asked.

"We're gonna die," I sobbed.

"Hey. We'll never leave each other, alive or dead," Carl comforted.
