Maul was lost in thought when he felt a tug on the bond he and Ezra had. Maul appeared beside Ezra, his apprentice quickly startled and fell off the chair he was sitting in. Maul crouched beside him grinning. "Well my apprentice, it seems I surprised you." Ezra smiled back at Maul,"Yeah I guess you did kind of surprise me," Ezra said. "I didn't expect you to respond so...fast." Maul pulled Ezra up, it was night on this planet, the planet the Phoenix Squadron called home. Maul was interested in exploring, but right now he needed to see what his apprentice wanted. "What did you ask me here for apprentice?" Maul asked. Ezra looked at his feet, his hand rubbing his neck."I kind of guess I wanted to take you up on your...offer. I don't want to become your apprentice, at least not right now, but I just need to take a break and think." Ezra said, glancing at Maul, who smiled kindly placing his hand on Ezra's shoulder."Of course Ezra, everyone deserves a...break at least once in their life," Maul said. "I took a twelve year break on a planet called Lotho Minor, it was after I got myself cut in half. I went completely and totally insane. I even had spider like legs. Then...Savage came, he took me back to Dathomir, to my mother. She cured my mind and my legs." Maul had a faraway look in his eyes when he said that. He turned his eyes back to Ezra, who looked like he wanted to ask some questions, but had the common sense not to. Maul sat in the pilot's seat across from Ezra. "Ezra if you do actually want to come with me, you cannot tell your friends," Maul said. "You can Holo them of course, but you can't tell them." Ezra sighed, but he nodded. Maul continued,"I would hope perhaps you would want to...train with me?" He asked cautiously. Ezra nodded again,"Yeah of course, but where can I find you? I'll take the Phantom II, our new shuttle. So can you tell where I can find you?" Ezra asked, hesitantly. Maul smiled,"Yes I will give you my coordinates. Now apprentice I think you should rest, you have a big day tomorrow." Maul said, before he left. Returning to the Nightbrother, he started going through old training books, getting ready for Ezra.
This I think, is getting quite interesting.
