The figures in the mist were obviously Ezra's parents. Ezra's father looked so much like his apprentice, and the mother had his eyes. They were an older couple, yes, but their spirits were young. From what Ezra had told the Zabrak, his parents were some of the first rebels, protesting against the Empire. Ezra said his mother's name was Mira and his father's was Ephraim. Mira pulled her son into a hug, the boy was crying tears of joy his father smiled before joining the little family's reunion. Maul stood awkwardly off to the side, Remember this is Ezra's family. Don't interrupt this reunion, he hasn't seen his parents since he was seven, for him that was ten years ago. The boy's parents finally seem to notice Maul. "Ezra we're so happy to see you! We haven't seen you since you were tiny, but look at you now! We heard your message... We have never been more proud of you in that moment! You're a rebel, like us! Is the Zabrak over there one too? Mira asked. Ezra grinned, "Mom, dad, this is Maul. He may seem kind of intimidating, but he's a real softy!" Maul huffed "You dare call me soft, apprentice?! I murdered the lady inquisitor right in front of you, I am the son of a witch and was trained to kill Jedi! And you call me soft?!" Mira and Ephraim looked to their son, who was laughing as Maul said that. "Yeah, you may seem tough on the outside, but I've seen the real you. You're patient with me, you tolerate me, you helped me when I was sick and you stopped me from...well you know. But seriously Maul, you ain't that bad of a guy." The Zabrak sighed, "Well, there goes my evil plan. I hope you're happy with yourself." Ezra kept on laughing. Mira smiled and walked up to Maul, "Thank you for looking after our son, I know you didn't say anything about looking after him, but I know you have. He's grown into a handsome and young man, and he needs a mentor, perhaps someone to teach him how to shave?" She said. Maul chuckled, "I'll happily be the boy's mentor, but I promise nothing about shaving, I literally do not have a single hair on my being, I never have and I never will." Ephraim walked up to the Zabrak, "If you ever hurt my son in any way possible, emotional or physical, mind or that lightsword you got, I will hunt you down dead or alive, I don't care if Ezra can see the good in you, you're trouble but I'm trusting you'll teach my son that not everyone is as trustworthy as they seem, including you." He said. Maul nodded, as Ezra walked over. The boy was happy, he was also projecting his thoughts all over the place and Maul was able to catch a few, Yay! My parents are back, and I hope Maul doesn't murder anyone in front of them, he might leave a bad impression. Ezra's thoughts were everywhere. The potion's effects were starting to wear off, Ezra gave his parents one last squeeze before they joined the green mist. The Nightbrother noticed his apprentice was crying. He brought the boy into a hug, "It's not your fault they died Ezra. I saw your thoughts, you were projecting. Your parents wanted you to have a good future, they were fighting the Empire for you. They care about you." Maul said, "And nothing you do will ever change that." Maul then realized the boy had fallen asleep in his arms. Again. The Zabrak growled, but picked the boy up anyways. He grabbed a few things from his room in the back and left, heading towards the Nightbrother. The ship took off into space as the human boy slept on and on.
They're now leaving Dathomir! What should they do next my friends? I'm not at all sure! I don't want to end this quite yet, I'll need some ideas though. You can leave ideas in the comments, I'll read them and respond! Or I can do it the old fashioned way and figure out what to do next. Oh well. Until the next chapter people of the Galaxy!
