A Master and his Apprentice

It had been a week since they had 'escaped'. Ezra was currently snoozing in his room, while Maul was looking through the HoloNet. The Zabrak was quite bored. At last he spotted something interesting, it was about the Ghost crew. That spiked Maul's interest, he glanced at his apprentice's room before reading. Apparently the crew had recruited someone else to replace Ezra. A blonde haired boy with a lightsaber was spotted with them. They replaced him, like my master had replaced me. Maul thought with a snarl. He needed to tell Ezra immediately. Actually the boy just appeared with a, "Good morning, Maul." And sat down next the Zabrak with a sleepy expression, he was holding the stuffed Loth-cat against his chest. The Nightbrother sighed, "Ezra, I think you should look at this immediately. It's something concerning you." Ezra took the DataPad from Maul and read it with a confused expression. He apparently reached the part about the boy about his age with a lightsaber, for he broke down in tears. Maul brought the young human into a comforting hug. "They will pay for their mistakes, Ezra. I promise you, you will have revenge." Oddly this did not seem to comfort the boy. The Zabrak looked down and noticed Ezra toy Loth-cat on the floor, he grabbed it. "Ezra, do you want your...um... Mr. Snugglesworth? He can comfort you better than I can." That's definitely the cold hard reality. Ezra took Mr. Snugglesworth back and leaned into Maul's attempt at a comforting hug. The Zabrak sighed but tried to rub the boy's back. After a few minutes, Ezra calmed down. He was still sniffling a bit though. He looked at the Nightbrother. "I'm s-sorry for t-that. I d-d-deserve to be replaced, h-he's probably better then m-me anyway." Maul growled softly, "Ezra, I can guarantee that you are better than that stuck up naïve blonde haired boy. Jarrus probably picked the kid up off a backwater planet to settle for a lesser version of you." Ezra shook his head quivering. "L-Lothal is a b-backwater planet. Did he just s-settle for me?" Maul realized he had made the decision worse. This was going to be a long night.

Like I said before, I'm not shipping these two and if I was, it would be completely platonic. Sorry I haven't updated in a while guys! I am at least going to do one update a week. Thanks for reading!
