Green mist came rolling in from all around them. Ezra looked at Maul, the Zabrak was smiling when a figure emerged from the mist. The figure took the form of a Zabrak who kind of looked like Maul, another figure emerged, this one was female. She was tall, and seemed to be wearing a red cloak. Ezra guessed this must be Maul's brother and mother. The human had never seen Maul this happy before, the Zabrak seemed to be crying tears of joy, he embraced his brother and his mother in a tight squeeze. His brother laughed, "Brother! I never thought I would've seen you again, after my death. How am I and mother here? And who is that boy?" He asked pointing to Ezra. Maul grinned, "This Savage, is my apprentice, Ezra Bridger. Ezra meet Savage and Mother Talzin, my family." Maul had put his hand on Ezra's shoulder, and for once the boy didn't shrug it off. Mother Talzin walked up to the young human. "Child, look at me," She said. "You are strong in the Force, young one. Maul, where did you find him?" Maul smiled again, "On the planet Malachor. We took the Holocron from the Sith Temple." Savage grinned, and pulled the boy into a bone crushing hug. Ezra gasped for breath, Maul laughed when he saw the boy's surprised expression. Savage finally let go, but the yellow greenish Zabrak was still grinning. "Have you gotten your revenge yet brother? On your master and on..." Savage trailed off when he remembered there was a Jedi in training in the cave. Maul shook his head, "No I have not. Seventeen years ago Sidious declared himself the Emperor of the first galactic Empire. He has a new apprentice, Darth Vader. Ezra is actually a rebel, him and his friends are planning to overthrow the Emperor and restore the Republic." Maul said. Mother Talzin smiled as she looked at Maul. "Remember Maul, revenge should not give your life purpose, I know you've had a dark path, but remember Savage and I we will always be with you, always." She said. She looked at Ezra, "Child, even if Maul is your master don't obey him without question. From what I've learned, it's best you should question your master every step of the way, no matter what. Maul, would you mind if I talk to Ezra in private?" Maul nodded. The Nightsister led the human to a corner. "Maul wasn't the only one from this planet who had a master betray him and revenge consume him. I'm afraid it was my fault he was taken away." The old witch said. "Sidious came to us searching for knowledge about the Force. He was smart, charming he convinced me to give up some of our most powerful secrets. He wanted a partnership between him and I, he promised power and I was foolish enough to believe him. I showed him Maul, a very young Zabrak boy with a very powerful connection to the Force. He took my son away from me, away from Dathomir. I never forgave myself for what happened. Then there was a young witch named Asajj Ventress, she was a Jedi at first but after her master was killed, she sought out vengeance and joined the Sith. Dooku betrayed her, he was worried she would become powerful enough to overthrow him. He left her to die on a Separatist battleship, she came back to us, broken. Our people have never had entirely happy lives, I have so many tales of betrayal. I hope you and Maul never end up like that, my son has never had any positivity in his life I hope you will bring some." She said, gazing at Ezra. The boy nodded. "I promise I won't betray him Mother Talzin." He said. The Nightsister smiled, "Child, call me mother. It wouldn't the first I was called that by someone whom I not related to." She said. Ezra and her walked back to Maul and Savage, the two Zabrak brothers were smiling and talking to each other. Mother Talzin nodded to Savage, he looked at his brother and Maul sighed. "I will miss you, both of you." Savage pulled Maul, Mother Talzin and even Ezra into a bear hug. A moment later, the yellow Zabrak and the Nightsister disappeared. Maul was still watching the green mist swirl around them. "Ezra, your family should appear in a moment if we wait. I...hope you liked...Savage and mother. They were my only family I ever had." Ezra looked at the Zabrak, "You're brother is definitely a hugger, which I totally didn't mind, and your mother was nice." Maul smiled. Two more figures appeared in the mist. Ephraim and Mira Bridger, Ezra's parents.
