Jaimie POV
"I can see the look in your eye. Your lying. I know a liar when I see one." I gave him a smug look and he sighed.
"You're right. I still think she's cute though. I was sent here." He added a wink. I looked at him with a credulous look.
"Who sent you here? Why are you so bent on Alex anyways?" I demanded.
"By the Moon Goddess. She said we need to go around and find wolves that are just like us. So we can...er fix the werewolf race more or less." The way he said it made me want to punch him
"Why didn't she come and tell me herself?" I ask a little saddened that she didn't come talk to me since she gave me the blessing. Jake must've seen my look because his features softened.
"She couldn't. She has other duties and she barely even had time to talk to me. She sent me here because you are about to shift, and she wants me to take you back to the pack I am currently in to help you get through it, and Alex can come too." He explained. Made sense, but how are we going to get past her mother? I turn to Alex.
"How are we going to get past our mothers? I'm going to have to live with the pack, I'm sure of it."
"I know, I'll think of something to tell her."
We get out of our little 'huddle' and turn back to Jake. I sigh.
"Fine. I'll go with you. Just don't get me killed." I agreed.
He nodded and started walking towards the woods.
'Hope, am I doing the right thing by going with Jake to meet the pack so shifting will be easier?' I ask her.
'Yes. If you're surrounded by other wolves it should be easier. Plus, once they get a feel for you, it'll be easier to learn the lifestyle and not be so 'human.'' She answered back.
I sighed to myself, knowing that I was supposedly doing the best thing for me. We finally made it to the pack house, which is actually not that far away from our spot that normally go to. The house was huge. I mean, it could've been a hotel for all that mattered. It was brick, and two stories high. Some rooms had huge windows, others had small ones. Damn, they must have money, I thought.
'Well, the alpha of the pack generally has a large sum of money in some shape or form. This was built to house guests, and pack members in a position like Pack Warrior.' Hope explained. 'Now, hurry. There's a special somebody that is waiting to meet you.' She nagged.
Why do I even bother trying to keep my fucking thoughts to myself?
'Because we now share them. Now, get that lazy ass in gear and go meet your alpha for the time being!' Yep, Hope is feeling better.
I don't think this is going to end well for me...especially with my chest now feeling a little tight. This could be bad...
