Jaimie POV

As Alex and I come out of homeroom we decide we should go to the library first. (Mostly to get our textbooks.) We've been silent, not sure of what to say. I'm still shocked that they moved both of us up to Sophomores.

Getting our textbooks doesn't take long, and soon we are rushing to our new first period. A.P. English. I hate English, but it is what it is. As we make our way, I start to smell my mate which signals that we're approaching the correct classroom.

"Good morning class, how was your-"

She didn't get to finish because Alex and I cut her off by coming in. She turns to look at us and I sort of squirm under her gaze.

"Uh, we were recently moved up class-wise. My name is Jaimie." I stated.

"And my name is Alexandra, but I mostly go by Alex or Alexa." She says a little sheepish.

The teacher nods, and tells us to go sit next to our mates. Well this is going to be interesting.

'Jaimie, stay alert. Someone is here looking for you that shouldn't even know how to get here.' Hope warned.

'Ok I'll let Josh know immediately.'

'Good idea.'

Unknown POV

I've been searching for years on end to find them. Jaimie is mine. I will kill anyone who wants to change that. Where could she be? I feel like the more I travel, the farther away I am from her.

However, I decided that if I don't find her at this last town I will give up the search for now. I haven't seen her in forever, and I would really like to. I decided to go into the high school since I figure she's in 9th grade by now. I walk up to the secretary, who is typing away. I clear my throat.

"Yes, how may I help you?" She blinked looking up from her work.

"Uh yes, I was wondering if there was a Jaimie Lowell was in your 9th grade?"

She was typing for a few minutes before she looked up at me. "Sir, there is no Jaimie Lowell, and I know all the people who are on her list to be checked out. You, nope. Plus, I was warned if this ever happened. Security!" She shouted.

Next thing I know, I'm being dragged away from the secretary. At least now I know she goes to school here.

After about thirty minutes of being in a car, I am dragged out and thrown into a cell. Well, today just got shittier.

Josh POV

I knew it! They did move her up to a Sophomore! My wolf is happier than I am I think. The next few classes flew by and next thing I knew, we were in lunch. Something has been bothering Jaimie all day, and I haven't found the right opportunity to ask her about it until now.

I bought her the good lunch that's from surrounding restaurants in the area. I placed it in font of her because I didn't want her getting up more than she would have to.

"Hey baby, what's been bothering you?" I ask, trying to be subtle.

She sighed and looked like she was about to cry. I think she knows more than she's letting on. That instantly made my wolf growl. Nobody makes my mate cry.

"Jaimie, sweetheart, what's wrong?" I ask insistent.

'Not here. Ok? I only need you know right now, just not here or now.'

'Ok, but I hope you know I'll be worrying all day.'

'I'm sorry baby. I love you, I just don't want to say it here or now. Just keep alert and patrol.'

I looked at her in confusion. Ok, something must be up if she's asking to keep alert. Just then the fire alarm went off and we ran out together while confusion and chaos was going on.
