Chapter fourteen: Finding My Family

Jaimie POV

I can't believe that my family is gone...and the fact Jake managed to get three of the world's most stubborn people out of their house and home. I swear, if that asshole touches any of them, he's going to wish that he's never been born.

However, it feels like it wasn't Jake, like somebody took him along with my family to get to me. Then it hit me, the whole pack knows what happened to me. Maybe one wants to use me to get to Josh or the Moon Goddess? I can't decide. I'll have to let Josh know, and now.

It was after dinner though, that this thought occurred to me. We got back to our room and Josh looked at me with concerned eyes, and he crossed his arms.

"You came up with something didn't you? Tell me please," He demanded.

"Well, I was thinking that maybe instead of Jake taking my family, that someone took him along with my family to use them to get back at you, or at the Moon Goddess herself. I know, it seems crazy, but it seems like this is the right reason to do it."

He looks at me strangely, but then bursts into a smile. What the hell is wrong with him? I ask myself.

"Jaims, that's a perfect reason! But, who would want to get back at me or the Moon Goddess? Wait, there's this one girl, who kept trying to get with me when I first moved here. What was her name...oh! It was Skyler. She hated that I wouldn't go for her, and I could smell you, I just couldn't see you which drove my wolf insane." He stated.

Ok, now I am beyond being pissed off. She tried to touch him? I'm gonna rip her...

"You ok Jaimie? Or, are you pissed off that somebody tried to touch your mate?" He teased a little.

He was laughing. Keyword: was. He saw that I was shaking with anger. He tried pulling me into a hug, but I resisted. He loomed a little sad, but got the idea to kiss me. Of course I responded, but not with much effort. I was really pissed off that she'd even try. Of course though, I didn't know him yet, but I'm still pissed. Hope is even more pissed off than I am. She wanted to come forward, but even with as strong as she is, trying to contain her is very hard.

The only way to assure that he wouldn't cheat, was to mark him, but I don't know if I'm ready for that yet. He's really sweet, cute, and funny...I just am scared as you might say.

"Baby, don't worry, I would never go for that," He said trying to reassure me. He continued, "I'll let my father know in the morning, and we can send more trackers to go find them. I love you and only you."

Ok, I can't fight it anymore. I need to feel his body against mine. He must sense it too, because he pulled me really close and into a kiss. This time, I responded with as much as I could muster. Before we got too far though, he pulled away, making Hope whimper.

"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean, I can wait a little longer, and make my wolf wait as well. You're mother wouldn't approve, would she?" He asked a little nervous.

I shook my head. "What if we never see each other again? Right now, yes, she wouldn't be happy, but I don't care what anybody thinks anymore. I need to live my life that way I want to live it. Not how someone else wants me to live it. I know you won't leave me. You can't anyways, we are bound to each other."

He smiled. Then went back to kissing me. Again though, before we could get too far, we were interrupted by a pack member mind-linking us.

'Alpha, Luna, we've found not only Jake's scent, but the others that went missing as well.'

Josh groaned a little, but smiled knowing that we're one step closer to finding them.

'Ok, pack meeting in five.' Josh replied to I'm guessing everyone.
