Chapter eight: Meeting the Alpha (Who May Be My Mate)

Jake POV

I can't believe that I didn't have to fight with Jaimie to get her and her friend to go see Alpha Drake. The funny thing is though I still have the feeling like Alex is but isn't my mate. It's like everything is out of wack at the moment. I still can't decide. I saw Jaimie's look when she saw the pack house, and I smirked. They are both beautiful, but I'm sixteen, and they're fourteen. Neither of their mothers would approve. I like flirting with Alex though just to see Jaimie get all pissy. I find it hilarious. I have to break the silence now...it's unbearable. I guess you could say.

"I'll be right back. I have to let Alpha Drake and his son know that you two are here. So, you two pretty ladies stay put and don't run away. We have guards watching you." I added a wink and then left.

'Alpha, I have the two girls that you requested...and that the Moon Goddess demanded that you see.' I mind-linked him to show that I was in fact, trustworthy to get a job done.

Alex POV

"I feel like I should have a connection to Jake, but at the same time, we should just be friends. Know what I mean?" I turned to ask Jaimie after he left.

'He is you're mate and you know it. Its just difficult to adjust because he was human. Now, he's like us. However, it also feels like he is already taken. You turn fifteen in a few days, so maybe the feeling will go away then?' My wolf, Ashley, said to me.

I know I should tell Jaimie that I am a werewolf, but right now she's going through a lot, and I don't want to unload that much on her. Now might be the best time before someone else would do it for me.

"Jaimie, there's something I've been meaning to tell you, and I haven't really found the right time to tell you." I started.

"You're a werewolf. I know, that was the first thing I could smell when I was given the Blessing. I just figured you would tell me when you were ready so I didn't push."

I smiled in relief. She knows me the best out of anybody. Man, this is going to be one interesting Christmas break.

'I know. It'll be one the both of you will never forget.' Ashley said.

Jaimie POV

I'm getting this weird feeling about seeing the Alpha and his son...well, it's more about the future Alpha than the current one. It's alarming me because Hope is pacing relentlessly.

'What's wrong?!' I ask/shout at her.

'Meeting the future Alpha. I don't do formality, and neither of you have shifted yet. They'll detect it in an instant.' She explained.

Oh shit. Well, this will be an interesting ride...where is Jake? Shouldn't he be back by now? I hear a low, but pretty sexy growl. Alex and I slowly turn around. Standing there are the two sexiest men in the world. The one I'm more focused on has light brown/sandy hair, the cutest shade of blue eyes, and is slightly tan. All of the things I like in a man.

He notices me staring and he smirks. Gah! I hate it when men smirk. It pisses me off to no end. However, when he did it, I found it attractive.

'My lovely mate!' Hope screamed.

That was enough for me to get the courage to speak to him. I cleared my throat.

"H-hello, my name is Jaimie. This is Alex." I said a little too quietly.

However, he must've heard it. He came right up to me and pulled me into his chest.

I yelped, "EEEEP!"

Then, I blushed. He looked at me with those eyes that were an impossible shade if blue. I think I've fallen in love already with those eyes...
