Chapter twenty-four: Blood will be everywhere.

Jaimie POV

Josh kept going over situations with the pack on what to do if he were to try to come into the school or he some how managed to find out that I'm living with him and attacked the pack house...yeah, he's that serious about it. I was getting bored with it. (I wasn't the only one, a majority of the pack warriors looked like they were going to fall asleep any minute now.) He was about to start on another situation he had made up, but I had had enough.

"Josh, we get it. Attack if he comes near me or my family. I'm about to fall asleep, and so are a few of the pack warriors." I stated.

He looked at me with a little bit of shock and hurt in his eyes. "But, baby, if he comes near you, I want to be able to protect you every possible way I can." He whined.

"No, it's just we get it. Plus, I've got at least one pack member in one of my classes and we have the same exact schedule. I'm sure he's not going to get a chance unless there are spies in the pack." I covered my mouth after saying that.

Dammit! Why do I have a big mouth?! I thought.

'I ask myself that every day sweetheart.' Hope laughed.

I rolled my eyes at her. 'At least I've tried to talk to you. You've been silent pretty much this whole week!' I protested.

'Ooooooh kill 'em!' She retorted.

I laughed at her and then blocked her out. Josh still looked shocked to me. Even shocked he still looks cute. I walked up to him and kissed him hoping it would get him out of his shock, and it worked. He almost instantly responded. We stood there kissing for about a minute until someone behind us cleared their throat.

"You know, there's a bedroom for that right?" He chuckled.

"Oh, hey Zach." I blushed.

You see, Zach is now our new third since Will left to be Alpha of Alex's pack, and now Matt is our Beta. Neither have found their mates yet, and its kind of depressing. They tease and laugh at the way we are to each other. I'm gonna set that right now.

'Damn girl, you're serious aren't you?' Hope laughed.

I pretended to ignore what she said abd continued facing Zach.

"Why don't you go find your mate?" I teased.

"Oh burn Luna!" Matt said walking in.

I playfully glared daggers at him. He just laughed. I then looked to see Josh also laughing. That pissed me off even further.

"You know what? All of you can sleep on the couch. And that's an order." I said through gritted teeth.

That shut them up.

Matt POV

Luna Jaimie is awesome. She's the type of girl who isn't afraid to tell you to fuck off. She's going to be an interesting mother. Her children won't be able to get anything past her.

The real reason I went to go see Alpha Josh and Luna Jaimie was because a rogue was spotted on our territory, and then suddenly disappeared when we were in hot pursuit. I cleared my throat before I spoke.

"Uh Alpha, there was a rogue spotted on your territory, and as we were in pursuit it just vanished"

Alpha Josh slammed his hands on the table making Jaimie flinch. "What do you mean by escaped?!" He was seething with anger.

"W-we were a-about t-to catch u-up, b-but before w-we could d-do anything, h-he disappeared before o-out eyes." I explained while stuttering.

"Zach, Matt, go and gather up the patrol and tell them to be very heavy with the patrol," He said through clenched teeth.

I nodded and bowed to both Alpha and Luna. Then, I left without another word.

Josh POV

How rogues got onto my land. I will never know. I just want Jaimie safe. Thats all I care about at the moment. However, if she is kidnapped before we even start the mating process someone else may try to get the chance. I can't no won't let that happen.

"Josh, why don't we go upstairs and get some sleep. Its ten o'clock now. And, we have school. I don't feel like getting yelled at by my new teachers for passing out I class." She added a giggle as a wink after that.

I sighed. Well, maybe I can convince her that this will be a safe thing, and plus I'll know when she's scared and she'll feel the same. I got up and walked over to her, picked her up, and took off to our bedroom.

As we climbed up the stairs all I could hear was Jaimie laughing. Damn, she's got the cutest laugh ever. I just hope she will understand.

'She will. Trust me Josh.' Whispered Darrin in the back of my head.

I set my jaw into a fine line. We reach our door and I set her down. Then, I open our door and wait for her to go in like usual. Here goes nothing...

"Hey Jaims, I was thinking..." I trailed off.

Was I ready to do this? I mean I love her, I just want her to be ok with it, and to understand that this may help her if something happens.

"You were thinking...?" She mocked.

I smirked. Of course I can do this. "I was thinking that if something happens to you and aren't marked, well, it could end up being bad. So is alright if we start the mating process..?" I kind of nervously laughed.

She just looked at me at shock at first, but then she burst into a smile and ran into my arms.

"Of course! Do you know how long I've been waiting for you to ask?!" She shrieked.

I let out a breath I was somehow holding and inhaled her scent.
