Itachi x Reader; Cold Weather

The snowflakes dropped down ever so slowly, joining the thick blanket on the ground. It was winter, the one season you waited for the most. The base was usually really quiet and empty during this season, but you always brightened things up.

First, by waking up real early to make hot cocoa for everybody.

You hummed as you placed the pot of water on the burner, waiting for it to start boiling. While you waited, you set out 11 cups, all special for each individual member. You then got out 11 packets of cocoa mix, along with milk.

"You're up early." Itachi yawned, walking(limping) into the room.

You giggled at his look. Messy hair, groggy eyes. He honestly looked really cute. "Goodmorning~" You sang, kissing his cheek gently.

"You know Christmas isn't until 2 weeks, right?" He rose a brow.

"But someone has to brighten the mood in this dark place." You defended yourself.

Itachi noticed you didn't have your cloak on, which wasn't usual. He did take note on your messy hair (if it's long, it's in a bun. If it's short, I applaud your confidence to cut it. I wish I had that xD), your holiday (Christmas) sweater, and leggings. He chuckled, moving your hair to place a firm kiss on your nape. "You forgot the marshmallows."

You gasped sharply, racing away from him and quickly searched for those (nasty) good, sugary sweets.

Next you would go shopping for everyone early.

"Itachi! Itachi! Come on we have to goooo." You whined, already at the entrance of the base.

The male rubbed his eyes, walking towards you. "This early? Stores don't open up at 6 am."

"But they open in an hour! I wanna get there before anyone else gets up and notices we're gone!" You countered back, then bounced away out of the cave.

He sighed in amusement at you, following after you. The two of you walked to the nearest village, him listening to you sing cute Christmas Songs.

"Dashing through the snow..
In a one horse open sleigh..
Over the hills we go..
Laughing all the way!"

You even laughed at the part when the people in the song laughed. Itachi loved your spunk, especially when you were super super cute like that. "(First/Name), you're going the wrong way."

You blinked, then laughed nervously and rushed back to his side. "Sorry.. Guess I got caught up in my song." You apologized sheepishly.

Then you'd put up the decorations.

"Ita-kun! Hand me those lights!" You called, standing up on a step ladder so you could reach the top half of the large Christmas Tree you had personally picked out.

Of course, Itachi was the one to put it up.

The raven haired male nodded, handing you the long line of lights. You took them and continued to wrap them around the tree.

"Ew, it looks girly, un." Deidara crossed his arms.

You stuck your tongue out at him, breaking your concentration. You yelped, losing your balance on the ladder and fell off. As quick as lightning Itachi appeared behind you, catching you bridal style.

"Awe, thanks Ita-kun." You cooed.

Deidara made a fake gagging expression. "I'm going now, un. But if you want a real art show, I can show you the true beauty with explosions, yeah!" He announced with pride.

Of course, you two ignored him. (MY BÉBÉ). "Be more careful, okay?" He frowned, setting you down on your feet.

You smiled, kissing his cheek. "Don't be so grumpy Ita! I know you'll always be there to catch me." (There goes my heart, crushed by your naive ways).

You'd always put on cute holiday pajamas and leave Santa some cookies.

You raced into the living room, dressed in your blue and white snowflake onsie. You gently set the plate of cookies on the coffee table with a glass of milk.

Itachi rose a brow at how childish you were being. "Aren't you 20? You know that Santa isn't-"

"Don't you dare." You glared at him.

He smirked. "Santa. Isn't. Real."

You gasped. "Be quiet you holiday grinch! Just for that Santa won't bring you presents~"

"Santa has already given me the best present I could ever wish for." He whispered, walking to you and hugged you.

You wanted to keep being mad, but his arms were sooo warm. You hugged him back, resting your cheek on his chest. "What's that?"

He chuckled. "The most childish, beautiful, and fun girlfriend."

And when it was time, you'd keep the Christmas Spirit alive.

"(First/Name)-chan!" Tobi called, racing into the living room where you sat conversing with Konan. The rest of the Akatsuki was on the floor, unwrapping present. But, Itachi wasn't there for some reason.

You turned to face him, blinking when he thrusted a neatly wrapped small box at you. You took it, smiling at him. "What's this for, Tobi-kun?"

"Itachi-sama wanted Tobi-chan to give it to you!" He cheered.

Konan was smirking, so you knew something was up. Shrugging, you unwrapped the gift and tilted your head at the cute velvet box. You flipped the top open, your eyes widening at the beautiful ring. It had a gold base with a small blue gem on it, your name in carved at the bottom of the ring.

"Will." Konan started.

"You ^^." Tobi continued, smiling widely.

"Marry." Deidara had a small scowl, not sure why he agreed to this.

"Me?" Itachi finished, standing in the doorway of the room.

You looked back at him, all of this a complete surprise. You practically jumped over the couch, hugging him tightly. "Yes!" You squealed.

He took the ring from you, sliding it on your finger. He kissed you, and you happily kissed him back. "Merry Christmas, (First/Name)." He whispered.

But what I love most about the cold weather, is getting able to spend it with you.. forever.
