Shikamaru X Reader

Day 2

It's the second day I'm headed to the forest of death to meet with a team for the exams.  When I got there I walked up to my Original group and we talked a little eventually I told them. " Hey I'm going to work with a different group this time, Also Shika we can't  be together anymore." "Ok." he said in his normal bord voice 'he doesn't care' This thought broke my heart, I walked away and went to Gaara and his group. "hey guys can I work with your group for this exam." i asked "don't you have a different team." Kankuro asked. "I can join any group I want I'm a jumper ninja." I said "sure why not." Temari said in excitement. I smile and we signed the form that if we die or something  they couldn't be held accountable "this is going to be so easy." I stated and a kunai knife flew at me, I tried to jump over it but I didn't jump high enough and it hit my achilles tendon. As I land on the ground I fell straight on my butt, I couldn't stand and I was bleeding a lot. I got lectured about staying alert and that this wasn't a game yata yata. "Y/n can you get up?" Gaara asked In concern 'he really cares wow' I try to get up and I did but the pain was overwhelming but I didn't want to quit I have to pass these exams. "I'm fine." i say and everyone went to their gates and waited for the exams to start, our gate was gate 6.  "alright maggots get your heads up because the second exam starts........ NOW" the gates were open and we ran in going really fast, my ankle hurt and I couldn't use it anymore I fell to the ground. The others stop  and walk over to me "Are you alright, can you walk." Temari asked I shook my head, all of a sudden I started floating, I look down and see in sitting on Gaara's sand. I smile at him "thanks." I say with a big smile. He slightly smiles back but quickly returned to his normal composure and turns his back to me. We start walking and we run into another team they tried to get our scroll but instead we got theirs after Gaara killed them it was really scary but I got over it. We finished the exam earlier then everyone else and mad a nrw record I guess but when we were done A man who looked like a sand ninja took care of my ankle and the second exam was over for me at least. I'm worried about shikamaru I wonder if he's ok........
