Beep. Beep.

My alarm goes off and I wince in pain as I try to sit up. I sit there staring out my window. I'm still exhausted. It feels like I slept for three minutes.

I watch the rain hit my window, and behind it, the thick fog that's wrapping around the buildings.

I'm just about to force myself to get up and get washed when something outside reflects the little bit of sunlight peeking throught the grey clouds. Intrigued, I get up and walk closer to my window trying to make out what it was I saw.

No. No way.

One of the men in silver is standing by the wall of the library, just outside my house and opposite my window, but he's holding something in front of his face. The fog makes it really hard to pick out details, but the more I focus the more I can make out the black cylindrical body of the thing.

It's a camera. He's video taping me. The minute I realise I duck so that he can't see me, crawl to my bathroom, my heart pounding. Great, now they know where I live.

That's when I think, where's the other one? Just as I start to panic I hear my brother Mikey come into my room.

I crack open the bathroom door and whisper "Psst. Psst, Mikey! Get out of there!"

My brother glances around the room first not seeing me, then his eyes land on mine watching him from the thin strip I opened of the bathroom door.

"Gerard- what the hell? We have to get to school, we're going to be late again"

"Shhhh! Get in here! He's going to see you!"

"WHO?"

Annoying how when I told him to lower his voice he raised it. I reach my arm out making the crack slightly bigger and pull him into the bathroom with me.

"You're an idiot, you know that?" I hiss at him.
Mikey rolls his eyes at my insult. He gives me a 'what the hell are you doing?' look.

The natural older brother instinct is to want to protect your younger brother, another is to know that you can tell them anything. I hesitate.

"Mikey, I'm going to tell you something you can't tell anyone, you hear? Not even mom"

He cocks his head. 'okay? '

"Okay. So there are these two guys, they're bald and they wear silver jumpsuits and these weird glasses and they follow me, okay, they watch me all the time, they know where I go to school, they know where I cut my hair, they know where I live!" I ramble on and on letting it all out, as his eyes grow to the size of ping pong balls.

"And right now, there's one outside my window and he's video taping me"

As if automatically he turns his head to face the window.
