"Huh?"
"It's signed CM,"
"What does that mean?"
"His initials smart-ass, Cillian Murphy,"
"You think he wrote this?"
"No I think you wrote it to mess with me"
"Fuck you"
"Its beautifully written actually. What do you think it means?"
"Crazy psycho doctor writes poetry in his spare time?"
"It is pretty depressing"
"You think he left it here on purpose? For us to find?"
"I don't know what's creepier, the fact that he probably has an alter-ego or that he sneaks into our room at night to leave poetry for us to find in the morning,"
The door slides open with a familiar humming.
"What do you think?"
His accent seemed to thicken overnight.
"Didn't know you were a softy for poetry,"
"Im a softy for pain. But then again, isn't everyone?"
Y/N looks at me and mouths psycho.
There's an uncomfortably long silence during which Mr Murphy stares at us like a mannequin.
"Do you want us to write an essay or something? Cos recently I've been debating with myself that not having to do school work might be the only benefit to being stuck here"
My snarky comment almost looks like it hurt the evil thing.
"I must say I'm quite offended that you feel trapped in the sanctuary I have provided you with Gerard."
He whispers it in a way that isn't actually a whisper but more of a growl. I can practically hear Y/N' s ovaries trembling.
His face starts to turn a deep shade of crimson and I'm terrified he might attack me.
"Idiot, idiot, idiot!!" He screams.
"I spent my whole life building what I thought was the most warming calming and safest place for indigo teenagers to thrive but I forget that I need to include pastimes!!!! Idiot!!!"
He turns away from us, clutching his hair incredibly violently and shouting at the wall.
I feel Y/N inch closer to me and hold onto to the back of my shirt.
He marches off fuming towards a wall that I think he'll run right into, but the wall slides open just in time.
He leaves and the silence we were accompanied by comes back. We enjoy it for a while.
"He's gonna do something crazy isn't he?"
"To him, that would just be doing something."
She giggles.
Dr Murphy seems to appear out of nowhere, still yelling but not so angrily now.
"By golly Gerard you're right!!" His pupils are shivering whether it be from excitement or whatever drugs he's constantly on.
He marches again towards the wall and disappears. Then appears a couple seconds later.
"Seriously children, keep up!"
So we follow señor crack down another set of identical halls. I find comfort in the fact that the whole atmosphere of the place isn't so intimidating anymore.
He walks into another slit in the wall but holds his hand out behind him to stop us from following in, but I manage to spot another screen stuck to the opposite wall and I see where this is going.
"Fuck."
"What?"
"He's gonna make us do another bonding thing"
She stays quiet.
I look over at her and she is actually staring at me instead.
"Is it a problem if we have to bond again? For You I mean,"
I catch what she's throwing.
"No not at all just...doesnt it creep you out that he wants us ...to....bond like that....infront of him?"
She grimaced as if she's just seeing that side of things.
