The Walls Have Ears

Gerards POV (Chapter 7)

I wake up when the top of my head hits something cold and hard. I jerk upwards shocked to find I'm not where I should be. Unlike when I was most likely passed out, everything around me is now white and painfully bright to look at.

I'm in a small metal room, and there are windows on the walls of wherever the hell I am and just as I begin to stand to look out of them I hear a thump and instinctively duck back down. The thump was near but muffled, like when a car door....

I'm in a truck.

I hear heavy footsteps outside approaching the two doors at the far end wall.

Click, creeeaaak...

The doors swing open, and at first, it's too bright and I have to squint after I move my hands from in front of my face. I'm huddled up in the corner in a fetal position, as my eyes adjust to the neon lights I am able to make out two men standing by the open doors.

I could make a run for it, but with the size of the exit it would be difficult not to get caught, and even if I did manage to escape their grasp I have no idea where I am or where I'd run to.

After I realise they're not doing anything other than staring at me, I sit up a little bit, able to scrutinize them against this annoying light a little better, and sure enough it's badly one and baldy two.

"He's awake" one of them says, I can't tell which one.

"Hey"

is he talking to me?

"Yes I'm talking to you"

The fuck?

"You're speaking out loud, son. God, didn't boss say he was intellectually gifted or something?"

The other one shrugged.

Boss? What kinda psycho company kidnaps kids?

"C'mon kid, we need to get you to your dormitory and tell boss you're here"

I'm so confused and scared that all I can do is shake my head.

"See? He's terrified, I told boss we should've let him stay awake"

"You know very well that he would've put up a fight, just like that Spencer kid did."

"But now he's not going to trust us is h-"

*Ksshhhh* Agent Ked, Agent Eunice, please report Mr Gerard Way to his dormitory with out hesitancy *Ksshhhh*

It was a woman's voice, and it came from what sounded like a loudspeaker. Baldy one and baldy two looked at each other.

"Seriously kid, you gotta get to your dorm, you heard the computer"

Computer?

I was concerned about what would happen if they hesitated with taking 'Mr Gerard Way to his dormitory', but I also didn't trust the guys who knocked me out to take me to said 'dormitory'. This could be some freak torture house for all I know.

Baldy one sticks out his hand reluctantly, expecting me to take it. "We're not gonna hurt you kid, believe me, you're safer here than an-"

*Ksshhh* Agent Ked, Agent Euni-

"We know! I'm not joking kid, we have to go"

I stayed put. An image of my mother pops into mind, "don't be so stubborn, gerard, just do it".

Badly two takes out a rectangular looking piece of metal lined with electric blue.

"Here, it's a tazor. If you're really scared we're going to hurt you, or if at any point we start hurting you without reason, feel free to use it. All you do is press the red button and hold"

I took the tazor slowly and examined it. I wonder if it actually works. I flipped it around in my hand surprised and quite scared at its weight.

"Deal?"

I look back up at baldy two. He gives me a forced smile. Without their glasses on I could see that they had icy blue eyes that looked well rested and pretty relaxed.

I slowly started to shuffle towards the doors and baldy one and baldy two respectively gave me space to stand up. To my surprise the extreme luminosity wasn't daylight, we weren't outside. We were in a very large empty white room with a very high ceiling.

The Bladys started walking and I followed behind cautiously but still looking around.

I looked back at the vehicle I was brought in, it looked like an ambulance but smaller, and like the room, it was completely white. Even the wheels. I focused back on following the baldy's through a square door in the wall.
