My eyelids feel heavy as I try to pull them open. Once I do I try to assess my surroundings: it seems to be night time, with a few lights passings by every few seconds rhythmically. I'm in a rectangular white box made of metal that is rumbling and shaking.
I'm in some kind of truck.
I look to my side and sure enough I see two back doors with glass windows that show a road continously being pulled out from underneath. It seems like we're driving on a highway somewhere abandoned.
I try to move but my body protests in pain, I feel too weak to lift my finger let alone my arm. My head is throbbing and I feel utterly exhausted. I can't seem to remember much, but that doesn't stop me from panicking as soon as I regain full consciousness.
I try to hit the cold metallic walls with my fists but with no power whatsover it comes out as a pathetic caressing of the cage I've been put in.
I try to yell but my mouth is dry and my throat is raspy and painful. Tired tears trickle down my face landing on my lap, I soon find myself sobbing uncontrollably, my sticky saliva lining the inside of my mouth whenever I part my lips to gasp for air, and the mucus in my nose slowly congesting and dripping down making me feel messy.
An image of my dad immediately comes to mind, "crying won't solve anything" he always says.
Oh no, my family...
Am I going to see them again? What about school? Where am I going? Who is driving?
All these questions shoot into my mind like bullets. Eventually I lay on my side on the cold floor of the truck, promising myself that I will not let my eyes close untill I find out where they're taking me, but exauhstion gets the best of me and I fall into a sad and painful sleep.
