Meeting Adolf

Chapter 2

Orion continued to stare in complete disbelief at the older Adriana. Seeing how she had changed after the last time he's seen her. Now she looked more mature than ever before. And even more beautiful.

A thin scar laid across her left cheek. The color of her usually dark brown was now much brighter. Adriana showed a beautiful smile. The same backpack she had when she left was on her back. Everything about her seemed to have changed. Even her once was dark attitude.

Orion just continued to gawk at Adriana. His mouth hanging wide open. Not able to move a muscle. The look of he made made everyone laugh. Even Adriana was chuckling as she looked at Orion.

"Looks like he is really startled to see me." Adriana said with a smile. Showing pearl white, sharp teeth. Her voice sounded pure and calm. No longer dark or sounded angry. Now she seemed like a completely different person.

Finally coming out of his lack of shock. Orion nearly pounced on Adriana. Pulling her against his bare chest and into a tight hug. Having Adriana gasp in shock. Completely taken by shock. She let out a groan once she hit his rock hard chest.

"I'm so glad you're back." Orion whispered into her ear. He was still shockingly taller than her. Holding her close to his body, Orion nearly felt like crying.

Backing away for some air, Adriana looked at Orion in his eyes. She reached up and held his face in her hands. A lone smile on her face. It looked like she may start crying herself.

"It has been so long. I've missed you for so long." Adriana said happily. She gave Orion a quick but soft peck on the cheek and then walked passed him. Her scent entered her nostrils and sent goosebumps up his skin. Smelling how different it was before. Before it was the smell of the forest. Now it smelled like roses and a meadow.

He turns around to watch as Adriana hugged everyone else. Andrea and Paisley were practically crying as they hugged her. Bryanna had the most happiest smile on her face as she looked at Adriana.

After so long Orion showed a true smile. Watching as the girl he loves reunite with his family. Also her pack.

"Mind if I introduce myself now?" said a completely different voice from behind Orion.

Orion whipped his head around to find a person at the doorway.

The man looked about to be in his twenties. His hair looked like the color of snow. He wore a pair of shredded jeans but had on no shirt. Exposing tribal wolf tattoos on his chest, arms, and stomach. The color of his eyes were dark amber.

"Who are you?" Orion asked completely confused. The man looked at Orion and showed some kindness. But also something else that Orion couldn't make out. "My name is Adolf, I'm Adriana's partner."

Everything grew silent once he had spoke. Orion stood stone-like still once he heard his words.

Adriana and Adolf sat on the couch while everyone stared at Adolf. All completely startled at the new male.

While Adriana felt a little annoyed but uncomfortable from the staring. Adolf looked perfectly calm as he sat there.

"What the hell do you mean you're her partner!?" Orion demanded quite pissed off. Ending the silence between all of them. Bryan and Mack grabbed both Orion's arms so he wouldn't be able to attack Adolf. While Adolf was staring at Orion with a calm gaze when Orion tried to attack him.

Sighing for the umpteen time, Adolf ran his fingers through his snow white hair. He looks up at all of them, giving them all an annoyed look. "As I had said for the umpteenth time, when Adriana came to Idaho, we met when I was hunting for myself. Turns out her mother was actually lives there in Idaho. Luckily I actually knew her mother, so we both became friends.

Once Adriana told me of her situation I agreed to help her. Helping her with her Beast and finding this man named Ario."

Adriana was silent the entire time. Looking a little sheepish as she sat there. Not wanting to meet Orion's gaze. She could feel his gaze on her as she looked at her boots.

She looks up to look at everyone. Seeing they were now looking at her. "Adolf is a rare wolf. His pack was part of the Lakota Tribe back then. So he knows of all spells that his ancestors knew." Adriana explained with some happiness. "Why isn't he with his pack?" Fawn asked confused.

Adolf suddenly let off a low growl. Clawing his knee to handle anger.

Reaching up and touching his shoulder. Adriana rubbed his shoulder to try and soothe him. "Reavers ambushed his entire pack. He was the only one left alive." Adolf made an odd sound in his throat once Adriana spoke the last sentence.

Adriana stood up and walked toward Orion.

"May we talk for a second in private?" Adriana asked a little hopefully. She gave Orion a tiny smile in hopefulness. Orion just sighed and nodded. Giving her a small smile back.

The two walked out of the house to be out of hearing range. Knowing that the pack and Adolf would probably want to hear what they were talking about.

Adriana turns her body around to look directly at Orion. Seeing he was doing the same.

"You've really changed after the two years. It seems you've forgotten me." Orion said sadly. His words shot through Adriana's heart like a bullet. Quickly, she began to shake her head side to side. "No I haven't! Orion, you are dumb to even think that!" Adriana exclaimed angrily. She crosses her arms and glares at Orion.

The glare she sent him made him pale. "Mind telling me if you still like me? I know you told me to forget about you if you don't come back, but I just can't!" Orion said frustrated. Adriana just sighs and looks at her feet. Then she looks back up at Orion straight in the eye. "To be honest, I do still like you. But I have some feelings for Adolf. Sense I've known him for two years."

Orion grew silent at Adriana's words. His eyes completely wide.

"I'm sorry, Orion. I'll be going now, I'm gonna go visit an old family of mine." Adriana leans in and gives Orion a quick kiss on the lips. Then she turns around and walks away. Slowly transforming into her wolf form as she began to run.
