Chapter 10

Slade and Andrea dragged Adriana as quick as they could. Her feet left dragging prints as they dragged her.

Trying their best to get away from He-Lush-Ka. Slade turns his head around and uses his power to try and sense his brother. But couldn't sense him anywhere.

"I don't sense him," Slade started frightened. He looked at Andrea with a frightened look. Seeing how worried she was. For both him and Adriana. "Lush is now more powerful, we need to keep our guard up." he finished, stating the obvious.

Andrea looked at him with frightened eyes. Then hoisted Adriana's drowsy form closer to her. "I just want to know how he's even alive! Orion told me that Adriana snapped his neck!" She looks down at Adriana's weak form. Seeing how she was trying to stand her own.

Trying to push Andrea away. Adriana stood up straight. She groans when she felt a terrible pain in her back.

"Adriana, let us help you." Slade spoke as he wrapped Adriana's arm around his shoulders. Trying to help her stand straight and walk. But Adriana let out a low growl. Shooting her golden eyes at him in anger. "I'm fine!" Adriana barked.

She pushes Slade away and brushes herself off.

Andrea and Slade looked at each other. Both sharing the same thought. Both worried for Adriana.

"Adriana, you nearly drowned out there! You are not alright!" Andrea said angrily. She tries to help Adriana again. But before she could touch her. Flames rolled around the two.

They all screamed when the flames were a hairs length from touching their skin. Andrea covered her eyes to not get blinded. Feeling the heat burn her face.

Slade's screams echoed across the forest. Both girls turn their heads and find him in the air. Vines were wrapped around his throat. Trying to strangle the life out of him.

"SLADE!" shrieked Andrea and Adriana.

Adriana shoves Andrea away from her and ran toward Slade. Ignoring all pain and how heavy her legs felt. She jumps into the air and takes form into a wolf.

Biting down on the vine and tries to break it.

Andrea joins her as she shape shifts into a winter white wolf. She bites down on the vines and tries to rip them apart. Succeeding in beginning too.

The two she-wolfs ripped the vines apart. Freeing Slade from his close strangling death. He collapses to his knees and tries to breathe. Coughing up blood and saliva. Looking like a sick man.

Looking all around in fear, Adriana and Andrea kept their guard up. Making sure He-Lush-Ka was nowhere near.

"You stay with Slade, I'll make sure Lush isn't anywhere!" Adriana said as she began to leave. But her second step made her knees wobble. Making her fall on her side. Making her grunt in annoyance.

"You're too injured! I'll go!" Andrea stated as she grabbed Adriana. Then she pulls Adriana toward the recovering Slade. "Watch her, I'll go scope out the area!" Andrea said as she turns back around.

She runs away from her boyfriend and best friend. Her fear slowly disappearing. Knowing she had to step up and kill. Now taking form of her wolf form. Andrea ran to where she smelt He-Lush-Ka's scent.

Jumping out of the tree line. Entering a small clearing. Where in the center was He-Lush-Ka.

Letting out a low, angry growl. Andrea slowly bent down low to the ground. Hiding herself from view with the help of the tall grass. She slowly walked toward He-Lush-Ka. Being as cautious and wary of his movements and to make sure she doesn't blow her cover. Her movements were quick but quiet.

Before Andrea could attack. He-Lush-Ka turned his body toward her. Andrea then finds herself flat on her back. With He-Lush-Ka on top of her. His hand wrapped around her throat.

Instead of showing fear. Andrea glared daggers at He-Lush-Ka. Seeing how smug he looked.

"Did you really expect me not to notice your presence?" He-Lush-Ka asked with an unbelieving tone. A smirk was on his lips as he spoke. It made Andrea snarl at him. "Of course I didn't, you jackass!" Andrea spat at him.

Her words caused He-Lush-Ka to smack her across the face. Causing four cuts to form on her cheek. She didn't wince as she was slapped. Or if the stinging sensation was felt. Instead Andrea growled even more.

He-Lush-Ka bent down and got closer to Andrea's face. As if he was about to kiss her.

"Lights out." he whispered in her ear. Then placed a kiss on Andrea's lips. Her eyes widened in horror as she felt his lips on hers. But then she felt drowsy. Her world slowly went black and she closes her eyes.

Allowing herself into the darkness.
