Collecting Blood

Chapter 13

Adriana slammed He-Lush-Ka hard against the ground. Creating a sickening crunch once his back hits the ground. A low painful groan escaped his lips. Blood left his lips and trailed down the side of his face.

Grabbing He-Lush-Ka's right leg and twisting it till it made a hard crack. Breaking his leg for good measure. Letting the scream from Lush to settle in. She smirked coldly at the sound of pain leave his lips.

"Move an inch to escape or to attack and I'll kill you." Adriana threatens. Her eyes were as sharp as daggers as she looked at him. He-Lush-Ka shivered under her intense gaze. Looking like a deer in headlights.

Standing up straight, Adriana walks toward Slade. Seeing that he was recovering quickly. He rubbed his head by the pain. Slade's head was red and broken in blood vessels. The vines created a burn mark around his neck.

A relieved smile came to her lips as she walked over to him.

"Good you're awake. I need your help to collect the blood."

Slade stared at her for a second. Then he nods and slowly stood up. Groaning as he did so. Adriana didn't look at him as she stared at He-Lush-Ka to make sure he doesn't escape.

"Remind me to not anger you. . .again." Slade mentioned a second later. The mention made Adriana laugh. But she just continued to look at him. As if she was some bodyguard watching a person. "Just collect the damn blood before I get impatient. Beast really wants to kill him!" Adriana said irritated.

Nodding rapidly, Slade hurries to his brother. Looking frightened at Adriana's words but glared at Lush. He grabs Lush's arm and takes out a knife from his pocket.

Before he could cut Lush. He was swung at by Lush. Barely dodging the arm. Slade grabs his arm and slams it hard to the ground. Stabbing Lush in the arm, not caring if he died or not. Lush let out another scream as the blade sank into him. Blood seethed through the blade and dripped down Lush's arm.

"Don't kill him. Collect his damn blood." Adriana said from behind. Sounding a little irritated. Glaring holes into Slade's back.

Her eyes widened when she saw Slade hold out his hand and a small container appeared in his hand. Adriana stared shocked at his magic. But remembered at what her mother had told her.

She watches as Slade collected Lush's blood. The smell of his blood made her twitch. Feeling how the smell affected her body. It made her shudder but in a good way.

Covering her mouth to not be even more affected. Adriana growled into her hand. Trying to handle the smell.

"Finished."

A relieved sigh escaped Adriana's lips. She drops her hand to her side and looks at Slade. Seeing him with the container of blood. Looking all happy. It made Adriana laugh a little. "Good, now let's go." Adriana said as she turns around.

She stops when she sees Lush. Seeing how he laid there. Breathing heavily to handle to blood loss. The look of him made Adriana actually pity him. She turns away and took a deep breath.

"Have a nice day." Adriana said sweetly at Lush. Even if it was full of hatred. Then she turns away and walks away with Slade.

It didn't last long when shadows appeared out of nowhere. And lunged only at Adriana. . .
