Seeing Family Again

Chapter 3

Adriana shape shifted back into human form as she's in front of her old home. She saw three cars in the driveway. Knowing that they were her father, her stepmother, and sister's cars.

Memories of the past from being in that house came into Adriana's mind. Remembering the great times with her stepsister and mother. And the worst times with her father.

She walks to the front door and takes in a deep breath. Lifting up her fist, Adriana knocks on the wooden door. Hearing her old dog, Winter, bark from inside. The sounds of her dog made her smile. Glad that her dog was still alive and moving.

Hearing footsteps heading toward the door. Adriana backs away and grimaces a smile.

The door swings open and exposes her older stepsister, Amanda. She looked at Adriana confused. "May I help-" Amanda stopped once she finally realizes who she was. Her eyes widened in shock once she recognized Adriana. "H-Hey Amanda." Adriana said warmly.

In the next second Amanda tackled her to the ground. Hugging Adriana tightly to her chest. Adriana let out a startled yelp.

"I'm guessing you really missed me." Adriana said with a laugh. She pushes her stepsister off and smiles. Amanda smiled back at her. "Of course I'm happy to see you. You've been gone for two damn years!"

Adriana looks up and finds her stepmother standing right in front of her. Judy stared stunned at her. "Adriana!" Judy said startled. Adriana smiled and stood back up. Brushing herself off and looking at her mother. "Yes it's me, Ju-Mom." Adriana corrected herself.

Once she corrected herself Judy looked like she may cry. Judy brought Adriana in her arms. Sobbing into her tears. Adriana's shoulder.

"Oh my god, I've missed you so much! I'm so glad you're alright!" Judy said as she squeezes Adriana closer. Wetting Adriana's shirt with her tears. Adriana didn't seem to mind as she patted her mother's back.

She pulls Judy back so she could look at her in the eye.

"I'm glad to be back, I hope you forgive me for leaving. And to look passed from. . .what you saw two years ago." Adriana didn't like bringing up when she shape shifted. Knowing her entire family saw her. Letting her think they are frightened of her.

Judy kept her smile, but it was replace with a sad smile. "Of course I forgive you. What I saw will never change the fact that you're my daughter!" Judy said happily. Adriana couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Glad her stepmother accepted her for the real her.

Looking at her older sister. Seeing how happy Amanda looked. Then a thought hit Adriana.

"Amanda, aren't you suppose to be in college?" Adriana asked confused. Amanda couldn't help but laugh. "I came from California to visit. I'm staying for the week sense it's Thanksgiving break." Amanda said with a smile. "And damn I'm glad to have come!" She adds with a playful punch on Adriana's arm. It made Adriana laugh even more.

'Damn, I haven't seen you this happy sense you've met your mother!' said the Beast inside Adriana.

Instead of being annoyed or angry. Adriana just mentally rolled her eyes at her Other Side. Now tolerating the Other Side like an annoying sister. Even if Beast was inside her. But her Other Side looked after her.

"What's all the commotion?" said a familiar, gruffly voice. Adriana's smile faded once she hears the voice. She looks up to find her father standing right there. He didn't seem notice Adriana at first. Until five seconds later.

Michael looked at Adriana and he quirked up an eyebrow. "Who are you?" he asked confused. Adriana rolls her eyes at her father by smiles a little bit. "It's me, Adriana." she said calmly. Michael's eyes widened in complete horror.

He backed away in fear. Obviously remembering what happened two years ago. Witnessing Adriana transforming in front of him.

"Don't worry, I'm not murderous." Adriana said with a light smirk. Michael remained in his tense form. Staring frightened at his daughter.

"Judy, Amanda, get away from her!" Michael ordered his family. Glaring daggers at his bloodline daughter. While Adriana stood there with her arms crossed.

Rolling her eyes at her father. She looks at her new family and watched their reactions. Instead of listening to Michael they just stood there. Staring at him confused. Adriana saw Judy glare at her husband. Confusion came over her as she saw her glaring.

"She's still your daughter. And yet you hate her!" Judy shouted in anger. Completely shocking Adriana completely. She looks at Amanda for an answer. Seeing she was shaking her head. "What happened here?" Adriana asked her older sister. Amanda looked at her and sighed sadly. "My mom found out that your father abused and hated you. Now knowing that why your mother left. So she's been trying to tolerate him till you came back."

Adriana stared shocked at Amanda. Then she turned back at Judy. Watching as she glared at her father. As well as her father glaring.

She could see fear hidden in his eyes. That only Adriana could see in her father. "I'll be going to up to my room." Adriana states as she walks passed her father. Pushing him with her backpack. Lightly laughing as he stumbled back.
