Bumps And Bruises

After 2 weeks I managed to get 30 bruises from my uncle. I got the most out of all 3 of us. I had to stand up for them for most of the time. I couldn't let him hurt them. I wouldn't let him touch Aileen. He took a lighter and held it to Aidan's arm, now there's a burn mark.

On the bright side, I finally get to go to my dad's house today. The last word my uncle said were "tell anyone about this, and I'll make your life a living hell." I didn't think things could get any worse. As I got into my dad's Honda Civic, I felt a tear run down my face. I just pulled my red hoodie up, over my face. Aileen slid her tiny hand into mine. I looked over at her, and gave a little smile. Thanks was the words only my smile showed.
"You okay kido?" My dad asked me as he looked at me in the mirror above him.
"Yeah, just uh... Sad to leave." A complete lie.
The drive took almost an hour to get to my dads house, considering he lives up north.

When we got to his house, I immediately went upstairs to my room. I laid down on my bed. I grabbed one of the pillows, then wrapped my arms around it. I cried. All I did was lay there and fucking cry, like a little bitch. I wish I could have done something, just something, anything! I did nothing! God damnit! I screamed into the pillow, wanting to die. I whispered something to God.
"Please, let something go right. Please keep Aileen and Aidan happy." I cried harder, luckily no one heard me. I sat up so I could catch my breath. I couldn't breathe. Slowly I got it back. Now that I look back, that was my first panic attack. I stood up and walked into the bathroom. I searched for a scale, then found it under the sink in a cabinet. I took my jacket and shirt off, then stepped on the scale. 29, 46, 73, 87... Stopped. 87 lbs flat. I stepped off and looked in the mirror. I wished my ribs and collarbone could be more visible. My eyes were red and puffy, a few tears running down my cheeks. I put the scale back, then opened up a drawer to reveal a razor. Almost no hesitation, I ran it across my wrist. That was the 6th time I've ever cut. I did it on the other arm too, then again. 3 cuts in all with blood dripping down my arms. I took a washcloth then dabbed some cold water on it. Shit it stung. My chest hurt, it filled with Invisible smoke, better known as disappointment.

Over the past 2 weeks, 7 cuts on my arms remained underneath my sleeves.
"Hey Aeron, can you come downstairs?" I heard my dad say. I quickly threw my shirt and hoodie back on, then joined my family at the table.
