The next morning I realized my uncle still wasn't back yet. Where the hell was he? I walked out of the bedroom, into the hallway; nothing but silence. My legs started trembling on the stairs, I grasped the railing, trying not to fall. I knew what was going to happen, I had to get to the bottom of the stairs before something bad happened. I got into the kitchen and got a glass of water, I only filled up 1/4 so that it wasn't too much. I was going to pass out no matter how much water I drank. "Aidan-" I could barely get the words out, I was breathless. I walked to the railing and looked up; there is no way in hell that I'd be able to make it up.
I suddenly got really dizzy again. My vision blurred, I dropped my glass, but it wasn't the one who was shattered at the end of the day. All I remember was my legs giving out and falling to the hard wood floor. I didn't black out for a few seconds, so I was just kinda laying there for a minute. I took one last breath, and my head hit the hard wood floor. I blacked out, and didn't remember anything that happened for a while.
When I woke up, I was on the living room couch. My sister was no where in sight, but Aidan was pacing back and forth. "Aidan?" My chest felt weak when I stuttered his name. "You okay?" He asked me nervously. "You know what happened, right?" I was confused because I barely remember waking up this morning. "You fainted, I had to carry you out here. I think it's because you won't eat." He carried me on his own? How the hell did he carry my fat ass on his own? He sat down next to me. "Aeron, eat something, before I do something both of us will regret." I didn't know what he meant by that. "I'll try." I realized at that moment, just how much it was breaking my brother to see my like this. Eating wasn't going to be easy. It started off with a small snack and it was difficult. I kept trying to force myself to eat just a little, but it always ended as me breaking down and hating myself.
My uncle came home that afternoon, he made lunch for the four of us. I didn't touch it. "What's wrong with you, kid?" I didn't say anything to him. "No girl is going to want a twig."
