11. Secrets

Aidens POV-

As soon as I heard Drew scream I rushed to her side, her eyes were closed but her whole body was burning hot. Her eyes opened in a flash and I got a glimpse of the unmissable red of her eyes and then she just disappeared.

I called for Mary because this isn't good. I called for our best guards and trackers to go and find her as quickly as possible.

"Mary" I called for her and she quickly came to me
"What is it?" She asked
"It's the new moon" I said to her
"And she's found her mate" her voice was just above a whisper
"Have you seen Braxton?" I asked her
"No not all day" She shook her head
"I have to go find Andrea, stay safe, I'll bring her back" I reassured her and left to go find Andrea.

I walked into our room to find her just about to sleep
"Andrea, have you seen Braxton?" I asked her frantically
"He left" she said sleepily
"What do you mean he left?" I asked, getting worried
"He went back to his pack" she told me
"Dammit!" I yelled and slammed the door.
I went with the warriors to go and find Drew before she does something horrid.

After 3 hours of searching guards finally found her ripping through mass amounts of rouges. When I saw her it wasn't anything pretty, she was covered in blood, her dress ripped and soaked with the crimson substance. Her eyes were red with blood lust and her fangs were chewing on a rouge in his human form. Her demon had fully taken over.

"Drew" I spoke softly I knew her very heightened hearing could hear my soft voice. She growled at me.
"We need to go back to the castle" I said, she looked at me, in the eyes. Her red eyes were cold like an emotionless abyss, searching for her next kill.
"I'm not going back, Aiden" her cold harsh voice sent chills down my whole body. I stepped closer.
"Now, Drew, don't say that. We can go back" I encouraged her. She laughed at me. I finally got close enough to inject her with a vile of wolfsbane, enough to slow down her demon until we got to the castle.

I brought her to her room and injected her with more wolfsbane which would keep her demon down until the morning, where she will be herself again. I called Mary to come and clean her up and change her clothes.

All we have to do is wait.

Drew's POV-
A million voices were in my head, yelling, laughing. It sounded like nails on a chalkboard in my head, but a million times worse. It was giving me the most immense amount of pain I've ever endured from a headache. My whole body hurt as well, like I just worked out for eight days straight.

I cried out in pain and clenched my head with my hands, I felt a sticky substance on my ears, my ears were bleeding.
"Shhhhh, Drew, its okay" I heard Aiden's soothing voice enter my head along with the rest of the voices.
"Please make it stop, please" I cried to him
"Make what stop?" He asked me
"The voices, please just make it stop" I sobbed
"You just need to focus on me, just on my voice. That's the only voice you need to hear, just me" he said. And I tried to push the voices away, but it wasn't working.

But then Aiden started to sing to me, a song my mother used to sing to us.
"Sleep, my darling, while I hush you,
And I rock your cradle and put you to sleep.
Sleep, my darling girl, and your luck is serving you,
And your good fortune promises you a rich dowry." He said to me, calming me and allowing me to push the voices out. This was an old Greek lullaby my mother knew, she used to sing it to us in Greek, but we learned the English version.
"Thank you, Aiden" I finally opened my eyes and grabbed his hand.
"What happened to me last night?" I asked him.
"We need to talk, it's very important" he said.
"Can I at least take a bath first? My body is aching" I said
"Wait, Drew" he said once I was already in the bathroom and looking at myself. My lips were stained with dried blood and my cheeks had streaks of blood on them from my bleeding ears.
