24. Little Wolf

"No!" I squealed as Braxton flicked blush paint on me
"Stop!" I giggled as I ran across the plastic-clad wooden floors. Braxton chased after me and wrapped his arms around my swollen belly and snuggled his face in my neck, he took a deep breath and kissed the exposed skin

We just finished painting the nursery for our baby girl, the walls are a simple blush pink and white furniture was placed in the room.

"I need to go wash this paint off of me" I giggled
"Then let's go shower, love." He smiled against my skin. We walked together to the door that connected her bedroom to our closet, we walked through our closet and to our room and then finally to the bathroom.

Braxton started the water and I started undressing out of the old clothes I put on just in case they got messy. I finished getting undressed before Braxton did and I stepped into the warm water. My hair was already pulled up because I didn't want it to get paint in it, so it was in a messy bun on the top of my head. I grabbed my loofah and went to wash the paint away.

"Let me bathe you" Braxton whispered in my ear and his hand covered mine and he began to wash my body for me. He's been doing this often, he also likes to dress me. I'm not complaining I think it's very cute how he likes to take care of me, and I appreciate it. It shows me how good of a father he's going to be to our baby and our future kids.

We both finished bathing and he shut off the water and then he dried my body off gently and placed a kiss on the exposed skin on my swollen belly. I smiled gently as he wrapped the towel around my body and then he took my hand and led me to the bed, he sat Me down and then disappeared in the closet, I've learned it's easier to let him help me even when I didn't need it. I'm only three months pregnant but werewolves only carry for six

He came back a short while after completely clothed with an outfit in hand,
"You get dressed, I have to go and do some work, I love you" he told me then placed a short kiss on my lips and then one on my stomach and then walked out of our room shutting the door behind him.

I sighed contently and stood off the bed, I put on the underwear he picked out for me and then put on the leggings and the nice long blue shirt he picked out for me, it was a nice shade of blue with long sleeves. I put on a pair of shoes and took down my hair, I brushed through it quickly and then went to my office.

I began to work out some things, two months ago we had a surprise from one of the other werewolf breed; Lokoti. They are a smaller breed, they are the third strongest out of the five, they have decent speed and agility. I don't know why all of a sudden this breed started to plot against the royal Lycans but they have been somehow sneaking on to our lands. But I do have somewhat of an idea; Boris. Some of the patrol caught his scent in the woods during their runs.

"Alpha, there is a problem in the pack" Aiden barged into my office
"What is it?" I asked, getting into alpha mode
"A lot of members from the pack are getting riled up about your pregnancy" he told me
"Why are they getting upset about an heir to the throne?" I asked, confused
"They don't want another hybrid leader" he sighed and started pacing
"I want everyone out back, NOW!" I commanded, both to Aiden and through the pack mind link.

I stormed outside where pack members were already flooding in, I stormed all the way to the front of the crowd and stood on top of a bench that was conveniently placed in the back yard of the castle.
"Quiet!" I commanded and everyone stopped whispering and mumbling
"I have been informed that most of you are upset about my pregnancy, and your future princess and alpha. I don't know how to make you all settle on this, conflict. But I need all of your support and help in these next days or maybe even months. The Lokoti wolves are plotting against us, with help and support from Boris." Gasps filled the crowd, "The same Boris who kidnapped the lost Prince, who has since been found. He also faked your former Queens death so he could have her to himself, he also took me a few months back, I though I had taken care of him, but I didn't. I need all of my pack members and my warriors to be on my side 100%. You will not have another hybrid ruler, this baby is full Lycan, she has no demon in her at all. Your next heir will be full lycan, nothing more, nothing less. Now I hope I have put all of your worries to rest and you can now go back to your day" I finished my speech and the crowd looked relieved and they started to disperse
