2. Roses

The bed was empty when I woke, just as expected. I took a warm shower and changed into a pair of dark jeans, a white blouse and a dark blue blazer with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of nude heels. I also had my mothers necklace hanging around my neck. My hair was left in its natural waves and my face was untouched and free of any makeup. I quickly brushed my teeth and heard a knock at my door

"The Alphas are arriving Queen Drew" Mary informed me.
"Thank you Mary" I smiled at her.
"Of course Queen Drew" she returned a smiled of her own.

"Aiden, good morning" I smiled at him, he was waiting at the stairs for me.
"Good morning Drew" he smiled back at me
"How was last night?" I bumped his shoulder with my own.
"Oh, it was just like any other night" he blushed
"You're a terrible liar" I chuckled but my joking was cut short by an alpha who was standing in the middle of the main corridor, who I noticed is the Alpha of the golden moon pack.

"Alpha Drake" i acknowledged him
"Queen Drew" he slightly bowed and I out stretched my hand to him and he took it
"I'm glad you've made it, I will have Mary show you and your mate to your room" I smiled at him and gestured to Mary.
"Thank you" Alpha Drakes mate smiled at me
"I hope you enjoy your stay Luna Caroline" I smiled at her.

"Alpha Reid is here with his mate, Alpha" I heard one of my pack members say, people of the castle call me Queen Drew and my pack members call me Alpha.
"Very well Vince" I smiled at him and he smiled back.

I was inviting all of the Alphas who are visiting into to castle until lunch time when the hunger washed over me.
"Aiden, let's go eat" I dragged him to the kitchen
"I'm meeting with Andrea for lunch" he said, making me feel sad knowing that my best friend is no longer mine
"Oh, of course. How could I be so selfish" I smiled at him
"I'll see you at dinner" he squeezed my shoulder
"Love you" I grumbled under my breath out of annoyance and took an angry bite of my chicken pasta.

"Hey, hey, hey!" I heard Evie's chirpy voice from the kitchen door as she came through it.
"Hey" I rolled my eyes
"Awe, stop being so grumpy" she pinched my cheek.
"Stop" I pushed her hand away
"What's wrong Miss Grumpy Pants?" She crossed her arms
"I'm annoyed" I said
"Obviously idiot. Why?" She rolled her eyes
"Aden has his mate so my brother is being whisked away with my mates sister" I sat on the counter
"You still have me" she grabbed my hand
"It's different with Aiden. You know that" I bumped her shoulder
"I know, I know. But I love you" she wrapped me in her arms for a warm hug
"I love you too Ev" I patted her back and got off of the counter.

"Now for more Queen work" I faked enthusiasm
"Yay" Evie did the same
"I'll talk to you after dinner." I told her
"Yea yea." She said making me smile.

After 3 hours of paper work and going over many, many documents I was feeling very sleep deprived. It was feeling very hot in my office so I took off my blazer and pulled up my hair in a messy bun ontop of my head, a few rebel strands fell down. As I was dozing off into a slumber a knock came to my door making me jump in surprise
"Come in" my sleepy voice said, Mary came into the office with a cup of coffee.
"I noticed you looked tired this morning." She handed me the steaming cup.
"Oh thank you so much Mary, I was about asleep" I chuckled and a took a long sip of the burning liquid
"Any time Queen Drew" she smiled at me and walked out of the room.

I was finished with my coffee and wide awake when Mary came back into the office and said that dinner was almost ready. I pulled back on my blazer and untied my hair, I decided that my shirt wasn't dinner appropriate so I rushed upstairs to change thankful that I didn't run into Braxton. I changed into a dark blue off the shoulder top and left the rest alone but I did tie up my hair letting a few strands frame my face.
