22. Batteling Heat

"Stop it!" I squealed as Braxton tickled my sides.
"Say it" he told me
"No" I continued laughing
"Say it" he ordered again
"Fine!" I said and he stopped tickling my sides, and I was catching my breath
"Are you going to say it" he smirked and rose a brow
"I love you" I smiled, he grinned and gave my lips a small kiss.
"Now get ready" he ordered me and got off of me.

I huffed in annoyance and sat up from the bed, supporting my weight on my hands.
"Here" his voice broke my trance of staring at the walls. Articles of clothing was being thrown at my face.
"Ouch" I said as a pair of jeans hit my face.
"Stop being a baby" he laughed at me and threw panties and a bra at me.
"I can get my own clothes" I poured
"But it started five minutes ago and you're still in bed staring at me." He smirked
"As if" I stuck my tongue out at him and began putting on the clothes he threw me, starting with the blue underwear. Then the dark jeans, and then the  dark blue cold shoulder long sleeve. And since this will be our first outing together, one of my crowns, but this one is simple, it's kinda like gold flowers that are stuck together, it only went around half of my head

I put on a simple pair of black ankle boots,
"Hurry up" Braxton grouched at me
"I'm ready" I huffed and hopped off of the edge of the bed

We walked together with our fingers intertwined down the stairs and out to the garden. The garden has a spell on it that makes it summer all year round, so that's why we are able to have this barbecue outside in the middle of winter.

"Drew!" I heard Calista say my name
"Mrs Cole" I smiled tightly.
"Oh, just call me Cal" she smiled
"I'm glad to see you doing so well" I looked her over, and it was true, she was looking just as healthy as the day I healed her.
"All thanks to you" she pulled me into a hug.
"I have someone I want you to meet" I smiled at her I grabbed her hand and led her to where my mother is.

Braxton was behind us talking to Xavier and Aiden,
"Mother, this is Calista, Braxton and Andrea's mom" I introduced the two, my mother was wearing a beautiful white sundress that looked amazing in the sunsetting lights.
"Oh how nice to meet you" my mother pulled Calista in a hug
"I'll be back" I felt a kiss to my temple and then Braxton, Xavier and Aiden were gone.
"Where did they run off to?" Andrea asked me  I just shrugged,
"Wanna hold her?" She asked me again, I nodded and took the sleeping baby in my arms.

"Come, lets sit and catch up. And Katrina, love, put those, eh, fangs away" my mom pointed at her smile and then continued walked. I forgot I had them out, I put them away and snuggled the baby closer to me. We all four sat down at a table that was set up for the party and we began chatting with each other. My mom got up and said she would get me some food while I held Rebekah. My mom came back and handed me a plate of food.

"DREW!" I heard Braxton shout my name, not out of anger but out of worry. It was coming from the woods. I got up from my seat quickly with Thanatos and my mother follower closely behind. I rushed to the woods, away from the gathering.

the cold biting at my exposed skin, I saw the three boys, but along with seeing them I also smelt blood.
"What happened?!" I asked frantically when I saw a spear lodged in Xavier's lower chest.
"We were playing along the borders and then a spear came flying out of no where, I sent a few guards to go search but no one was found" Braxton answered swiftly
"We have to get him to the pack doctor" I rushed out
"We don't have that kind of time" Aiden groaned
"What do you want me to do?" I asked getting panicky
"You have to heal him!" Aiden shouted at me
"I can't" I mumbled
"What do you mean you can't?! You have to!" Aiden growled at me again
"I'm not strong enough!" I barked
"What do you mean?" He asked
"I haven't been drinking blood so I'm really weak" I mumbled
"Drew, love, just drink from me" Braxton said grabbing my hands. I nodded hesitantly and brought his neck down to my lips.
