2 years later:
After my parents died there was an immediate coronation for me to become queen, even without my mate. Since that day 2 years ago I have been ruling my queendom, still training because I'm not the best queen my people deserve yet. I have been training also in combat with Aiden, much to my royal advisers despair, they think a queen should just look pretty, but that's too boring.
I am currently getting ready for the annual royal day parade thing, I basically have to sit in an open carriage while waving at the people lining the streets of the town square. Evie is once again doing my makeup, she's so good at it. After she was finished I put on the golden ball gown and slipped on some heels that matched. I let Evie place my crown on the top of my head, it was simple but very sparkly, it was previously worn by my mother at this parade.
"You look so beautiful Drew" Evie smiled at me.
"Thank you Ev" I gave her a hug, I was 5'9" while she was only 5'3" but her small frame suits her blonde hair and green eyes. Evie was in a simple white dress, since she wasn't part of the royal council she would just watch as the Royal council walked the streets.A knock came from my door, I opened it and saw Aiden since he was one of my royal guards he would be walking beside my carriage
"Are you ready?" He asks me
"Yes" I smiled and walked along side him down the many hallways and corridors until we got to the main entrance. Outside awaited my white carriage, Aiden helped me into the seat, once I was situated the horses started slowly walking to the town square, Aiden was walking to my left while my royal guard, Damen, stood at my right. I waited until the town square came into view which took a while because the palace was deep into the forest.I sat up straight and placed a big smile on my face and waved at crowds that lined the sidewalks they all smiled back and waved. I saw Evie amongst the crowds and blew her a kiss she pretended to catch it and screamed like a fangirl. I quietly chuckled.
As the parade came to a close people started to clear out of the streets. It was a long ride back to the castle and I waited patiently in the carriage, Aiden helped me out of the carriage when we arrived back to the castle. I offered a small smile as we walked into the castle.
I was really hungry so I walked into the kitchen still in my dress. Some of the Royal pack lingered around, once they saw me they slightly bowed. I nodded in acknowledgment and continued on. I grabbed some sandwich meat and some bread. I made a quick sandwich and went to my office. I didn't really have time to change, we have a visiting pack alphas coming in 3 days and we have to prepare.
I sat down in my office and grabbed a water from the mini fridge I had in there. I ate while making room arrangements. We have 7 alphas coming, plus their mate, only one is unmated, and some have children, some brought their betas. A total of 30 people will be visiting in three days. I finish with the room arrangements and start on some other work.
A knock comes to my door 3 hours after I finish the arrangements.
"Come in" I said not taking my eyes off of the paperwork in front of me.
"Your highness, an alpha has arrived early." My royal adviser Mary said.
"Which one?" I ask
"Alpha Braxton" my head shot up. Alpha Braxton has one of the most powerful packs next to the Royal pack, the bloodthrone pack.
"I'll be right out" I coughed and cleaned up a tad.I walked down the halls until I got to the main corridor. A delightful scent found its way to my nose, getting stronger as I continued to the corridor, I arrived and saw 4 people, a very tall man with his arm around a girls shoulder and another man with his hand intertwined with a females.
They all slightly bowed and I nodded my head. I turned to the man with the most power radiating off of him, he has dark hair, stood at least 6'6", beautifully sculpted face and nice body. But it was when I looked into his gorgeous blue eyes that I knew I was screwed.
