My head felt featherlike as my feet were dragged along the hard ground. The air around me felt damp and dingy. My eyes couldn't open, so I couldn't see anything around me. Two people were carrying me by my biceps as they drug me.
I was thrown to the ground, my head bounced like a ball on the concrete as I fell. "Have fun" I heard a deep, familiar voice say and metal slamming. I then felt a piece of fabric being laid on my naked body. I forced my eyes to open to see that it was a torn up tshirt. I didn't complain as i put it on my naked form.
"Sorry it's so dirty, it's all I have" a deep, husky voice said from the corner of the cell I was in. "Thank you" my voice was scratchy and gross. "What's your name?" He asked me "Drew" I mumbled. "Thanatos" he replied. My breath got hitched in my throat. "Thanatos, like the demon Thanatos?" I asked, he chuckled "Don't worry, sweetheart, they haven't been giving me any blood so my demon is very much so dormant" he said "No no no, Thanatos, you were in love with Cadence 18 years ago" I said scooting closer to him "How do you know Cadence?" He lowly growled "I'm her daughter" I said softly "Our daughters name is Katrina" he gruffed "My name is Drew Katrina Venus Patrova" I reasoned with him "She changed your name?" He asked me. I took this moment to really get a good look at his face, I looked similar to him, we both had striking green eyes and dark brown hair although his was dirty and grungy. His face had dried blood on it and he looked in good shape to be in a dungeon. "How long have you been here?" I asked him "Since your dad locked me in here so he could steal Cadence" he shrugged "18 years..." I mumbled. "So how is your mother?" He asked me, love sparking in his eyes. "A few days after my nineteenth birthday, my mother and Boris got into a car wreck and died" I said lowly. "No, Boris comes in here once a week. He isn't dead" he furrowed his brows. "What? That's means my mother is still alive" I got excited. "You've grown up quite a bit" he ignored the fact that my mother isn't dead "Eighteen years does that to a person" I lightly chuckled "What gift do you possess?" He asked me "How did you know I possessed a gift?" I cocked an eyebrow "You're my daughter, i hope you got one" he smiled at me "I have all of them" I mumbled "All?" He asked confused "Yes, all" I shrugged, "which gift do you possess?" I asked him "The Fire element" he stated "What is today?"he asked me "It's the 17th of December" I told "Do you know what today is?" He asked me I shook my head "It's almost the new moon in 5 days" he said "Oh" I trailed off "How many have you experienced?" He asked me "Only one" I shrugged "Only one?" He asked, "you usually get your first one when you turn sixteen" he was confused "My mother and Boris made a witch put a spell on me, I wouldn't have to give myself over until I was marked by my mate." I told him "You have a mate?" He asked me "Yes, I do" I smiled "Did they tell you about me?" He asked "No, I found out when I first turned" I told him. "Makes sense" he shrugged
I decided to stay quiet because I didn't know what to say so I just simply laid back and let out a shaky sigh.
The next few days were very boring, they bring us food twice a day, and the food is very gross but I still eat it. I've counted five sun ups, today is the new moon and I'm kinda scared.
"Now that family reunion is over, you're coming with me" I heard a very deep voice say and the bar doors open. He came in and roughly pulled my arm and yanked me out of the cold cellar.
I didn't get a good look at his face as he drug me up some stairs, into a house and into a living room. "Mom?" I asked "Drew, oh my baby" she engulfed me in a hug "What happened to you?" I asked her "Your father took me here after he wrecked the car." She said lowly "He's not my father" I growled lowly "Oh you know" she sat down and began to chew on her nails. "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her "Boris wouldn't let me" she said lowly. "Why not?" I asked Harshly "I don't know baby" she whispered to me pushing my dark hair from my face.
I was starting to get very angry at her "My whole family is here!" I heard Boris, I looked at him and saw the person I didn't think I'd ever see again "Talon" my voice was barely above a whisper "Drew..." the sixteen year old boy trailed off as I saw tears come to his eyes. "Sit down, boy" Boris shoved him on the couch. I couldn't take my eyes off of him, it's hard to when you haven't seen someone in 5 years.
"Why am I here?" I sneered "I needed my whole family here" he smiled like a mad man "Why?" My anger rising quickly "So we could all be a family again" he smiled again "Why couldn't we all be a family at the castle?" I barked out "Too many people were telling me what to do" he shrugged. "So you faked yours and my mothers death and left me alone for three years?!" I growled. "I just wanted to see how strong you were" he shrugged again. "I fucking swear if you shrug your shoulders one more fucking time I'm going to rip them from your body" I growled at him "you need to shut your pretty mouth, you bitch!" He yelled at me "Fuck you" I sneered and a stinging sensation was tingling my cheek, this mother fucker just hit me. I then growled and lunged at him, making him fall to the ground, he quickly flipped us over because I wasn't expecting it. He bared his canines at me, and then a hard kick was sent to his side and he fell off of me. "Leave her alone!" Talon growled at him. "Guards!" I heard Boris wheeze out. "Take these two to the cellars." He groaned.
I spat at him before we were dragged away and thrown back into the cells. "You're back" Thanatos said when we were thrown into the cell "Hey T" Talon said "How do you know each other?" I asked, really confused "We shared the same cell for over a year." Talon told me and Thanatos nodded his head. "This makes no sense to me" I growled and punched one of the bars, making it bend a little. "Drew..." Talon trailed off "She's a demon" Thanatos told Talon "What?" He asked, his brows furrowing "Thanatos is my real father" I breathed out. "Thanatos is a demon?" He asked "Over a year and that never came up?" I asked amused and Thanatos just shrugged.
"That gives me an idea on how to get out of here" I said quietly. "What is it?" Thanatos said "Talon, he's mostly human, drink his blood so you can shift tonight with me and we can break out of here" I said "I've already thought about this. He doesn't have enough blood and for me to get enough I would have to kill him" Thanatos said "Drink some of mine too, I'm human as well" I told him "It's worth the try" Talon said and we all three agreed.
Thanatos drank from Talon first, the smell of it had me craving, but I couldn't take any. After Thanatos was done I quickly healed Talon so he could be strong enough to fight and shift. I then gave Thanatos my wrist, he took it greedily, his eyes blood red, when his fangs sunk into my skin it hurt a little tad but it wasn't anything excruciating.
"Are you full?" I asked Thanatos after he released my wrist. "Yes" he growled out lowly, while cleaning off his mouth. "Now all we have to do is wait until dusk" I breathed out and sat back against the wall and tried to get some sleep.
