"You will keep going into heat until you become pregnant, successfully. It's a royal thing, once marked you will go into heat regularly until you become pregnant with an heir for the throne" my mother informed me, it made sense, it was just a way to keep the throne occupied at all times. "Okay" I responded "How long have you been in heat?" She asked me "Two days" I told her "It usually only Lasts for five, so just keeping drinking the tea and I'm sure you'll be fine, unless you want a baby" she quirked up an eyebrow at me, I still haven't told Braxton that I found a way to have a child successfully "I don't want one now" I said quickly "No rush, you have eternity" my mother smiled warmly at me. "I have to go do some work" I stood up from the couch and went to my office and tried to go some work.
A knock came to my door at sometime when I stared working. "Come in" I said through the quiet room "I have a package for you, Alpha Drew" I looked to see Katie at the door with a box "Thank you Katie," I took the box from her hands, "how has training been?" I asked her "Wonderful, Alpha, I've been learning a lot of new skills" she smiled brightly "That's splendid I'm glad you found a passion" I smiled back "Have a nice day, Alpha Drew" she smiled at me
I placed the box off to the side and continued working, I still had some make up work to finish up but nothing too difficult. I was finished around dinner time and went to go find Braxton, I walked down to the kitchen only to see Thanatos eating a sandwich. "Hey" I smiled at him "Hello" he said, his mouth full of food, I scrunched my face up in disgust "Drew!" I heard Aiden's voice "Yes Aiden?" I asked taking a blood bag from the fridge "You're going to be needing more than that" Aiden told me his eyes motioning to the bag in my hand, my brows creased, showing my confusion "Let's talk in your office" he smiled and grabbed two more blood bags from the fridge, i liked my blood cold. Thanatos prefers it at room temperature
"What is this about?" I asked taking another bag from his hand "Venus is going through another transition tonight" he smiled happily at me "I don't know why that makes you so happy?" I questioned him and his motives "It'll give you enough strength, as well as the blood for you to do that spell" he told me "What spell?" I asked "The spell that enables you to have children" he said in a 'duh' tone "I don't have everything I need" I shook my head sitting down in my seat "Here" he threw the package in front of me that Katie brought earlier "What is this?" I asked "Just open it" he growled playfully
I gasped once I opened it "Where did you get these?" I asked, completely shocked "Katiya said you'd need it quickly so I found some" he smiled cheekily "And I have a rouge downstairs who Thanatos has kindly turned into a hybrid, just for you" he poked my cheek "Now, all I have to do is rip out his heart" I smiled unsurely "And you have approximately 3 hours to do so, and tell Braxton of course" he said a large smile played on my lips "Thank you, Aiden" I got up and hugged him "Any time, now go tell your mate" he pushed me out of my office
I walked down two doors to Braxton's office, Aiden's is in between ours. I knocked softly "Come in" his voice boomed and I opened the door. "I have something to tell you" I smiled at him "What is it, love?" He asked pulling me to his lap "I've found a spell that will allow us to have a baby" I looked into his blue eyes, he looked shocked "Drew..." he started, a pang of hurt settled into my chest as I got up "I understand" I sniffled, tears springing to my eyes. He grabbed my wrist and spun me around, his lips molded over mine "This is great" he broke away and told me "I do have to ask you something though..." I trailed off "What is it?" He asked pushing some hair behind my ear "I really want this spell to work, and so I'm going to have to use a lot of power, and I was wondering if..." I trailed off again "You would like some of my blood?" He asked I just nodded my head, he rolled up the sleeve of the black long sleeve shirt he was wearing. I turned slightly and grabbed his warm skin with my small hands, I felt my fangs elongate and my eyes start to shift colors. I looked into Braxton's eyes for a silent reassurance, he nodded his head and I sunk my teeth into the flesh.
A wave of euphoria crashed into every one of my senses. The amazing taste of my mates blood gave me a sense of pleasure I've never felt drinking any other blood. Braxton turned my body around so my back was against his chest, moved my hair over to one side and bit into my mark. I growled lowly at the immediate pleasure it gave me, causing my knees to weaken but Braxton kept me up with an arm around my waist.
Feeling as if I had enough I unlatched from this wrist and leaned my head back so he could get better access to my neck, I groaned in pleasure and he growled, biting down harder. He took his canines from my skin and kissed the fresh wound, I took his wrist and licked the remaining blood and kissed it gently.
I sighed as he wrapped both arms around my stomach and kissed my cheek. "Are you excited?" I asked quietly "To finally start a family with you?" He asked, and even though I couldn't see his face because my eyes were closed I could sense the smile on his lips. I nodded my head slightly "Yes, I am very excited" he chuckled
I went back to my office and started to memorize the spell, word for word 'Matere et lunare tua virtus' was the spell words. "It's time now" Aiden said to me, I nodded my head and grabbed a wooden box
We walked to the basement where the hybrid was being kept, "Please, don't kill me" the man begged "It's for a good cause," I smiled sadly and pushed my fist through his chest, I wrapped my fingers around the pumping organ as he began to choke, I looked down into his dark brown eyes and ripped the heart out. I put it in the wooden box and closed it.
I walked behind Aiden as he led me to where he set up for the ritual, there was a tree-stump with a crystal bowl on top with the celestial roots and the moon dust to the sides. I walked up to the tree stump and placed the wooden box down, I took a simple ring from my pocket that was going to be the foothold where the power would be held that blocks my demon side.
I picked up the knife that I was to cut my palm with and sliced the flesh, I began mumbling the spell chants as the blood began to flow into the bowl I began to feel the power surge throughout my body. I then took the heart from the box and squeezed the remaining blood from the organ and then put the emtied organ back into the box, still chanting the spell, the blood began to boil and I threw in the moon dust and then the celestial roots.
"Matere et lunare tua virtus" I kept saying as I kept on with the spell, the sky started to darken and thunder began to sound in the distance. Lighting struck across the sky as I pushed all my power into the spell. Then all of a sudden all my power seized and the spell had been completed, or so I hoped.
I picked up the ring and slid it on, I instantly felt a slight fuzziness in my head as my demon was pushed away. Along with the fuzziness my hearing went back to the way it used to be, normally werewolf. My eyesight became normal as well, and the blood thirst went completely away.
I felt slightly weaker and I slightly stumbled in my steps but thankfully Aiden caught my shoulders. "Are you okay?" He asked concerned "Yea I'm fine" I smiled weakly "You have a little" he trailed off pointing at his nose I wiped my nose and a thick trail of blood was on the back of my hand. "Thanks" I sniffled and wiped the blood on my jeans. "Lets go get you in bed, you need to rest" He told me and we went back home.
