"Can you see them?" I craned my neck as high as I could above the crowd. I swear I saw the three of them together just moments ago, now they're all gone.

"I can see Kira..." With a smirk Malia nudged me and pointed towards two bodies in the crowd. The two were pressed together, his hands on her waist and hers around his neck. Her hair tumbled down her back and swayed with each of her slow movements. How could she look so graceful when caught in between hundreds of sweaty people? The way the guy held her and the way he looked at her made my blood boil. I had no right to be mad, yet I was. Who even was this guy? "He's like the Walmart version of you Scott." Malia chuckled; ceasing when she realised my sudden anger.

"We should go get her before something happens." I rose and started edging out of the booth when I felt her hand on mine.

"They're just having fun, Scott. There's nothing you can do." She looked at me with empathy but I guess she was right. It's not my place to get in between them.

"Well, look who's here guys? Come to join us have you Malia?" The voice came from a tall man with dark features. He waltzed in front of our table with two other equally as large men behind him, their arms crossed. Did Malia know these guys?

"What do you want, Atticus?"

"We just wanted to have a chat, no biggie. But looks like you're not alone. Your babysitter I presume?" The boys in the back laughed as this. Atticus held his hand out for me to shake. These guys gave me a really bad vibe, were they part of Malia's pack?

"I'm Scott. And you are?"

"Oh we're friends of her mothers." His smile was genuine and cunning at the same time. He must be a part of the Desert Wolf's pack. That would explain their attitude. I nodded at Atticus and looked back into the crowd. It couldn't hurt to just watch over her, make sure she stays safe. Any good friend would do that.

Between the two ogres at the back, I noticed two familiar figures dash out the door. Stiles and Lydia? Now there's a trip down memory lane. But where the he.ll were they going?!

"I'll be right back!" I interrupted the others' conversation and dashed out towards the door. The area around the bar was full of teenagers so my only way around was through the dancefloor. I pushed through the crowd as quickly as I could. The horrid stench of sweat and hormones filled my nostrils and I had to withhold myself from gagging. I reached the door and saw the two climb into a taxi with more than their hands touching this time. What the hell? Why would they just leave? I mean, I know why but were they not thinking of Lydia's upcoming MARRIAGE?

I guess it's too late to stop them now... got to let them make their own mistakes.

I headed back to the booth Malia and I sat in. At least I thought it was our booth, it's empty? No... this was definitely our booth. Where is Malia? And Atticus and his henchman?

Malia's phone sat upside down beside where she had been sitting. She wouldn't just leave it here. Oh no, this is not good. Stiles and Lydia are gone and now Malia. I need to grab Kira and find Malia.

After collecting Malia's phone, I made my way back into the crowd of sweaty dancers and waded through towards where I'd last seen her dancing with that... guy.

She was still in the centre with her arms around him and her hips against him. I awkwardly tapped her on the shoulder.

"Scott! Oh my god hi! I'm having so much fun, are you having fun? I am." I laughed softly at her tipsy state. She wasn't going to be able to help me find Malia when she's like this but I couldn't leave her here with a total stranger right? "You should dance with me and Kian! He's from my uni!" Okay, so maybe he's not a stranger but i still can't just leave her.

"I'd love to, really. But we have a bit of a problem and I'm gonna need you to come with me." I rushed my words and gently grabbed her forearm.

"Why, what's up?" Kian quickly grasped her other forearm. His face seemed genuine but his body language gave me the idea he didn't care why I needed her but he wasn't gonna let me have her. Kira swayed contently to the music, trying to move us with it. He had no control of her, who did he think he was!

"No offence buddy but it's not your business. I just need her help."

"My help? Okay! I can help!" Kira chirped up; looking up at me expectantly. Kian let go of her and shrugged. He sent me one last suspicious look before turning away and finding another girl to dance with. I pulled Kira through the sea of people as quickly as I could, but her steps were uneven and she couldn't stop dancing. How does she manage to get even cuter when she's drunk?

When we broke through, I scanned the place. Maybe, they had come back while I was gone? The answer to that was obviously no but in my search I did notice a door hidden in behind the booths. It was slightly ajar. I sniffed the air, they'd definitely gone that way.

"Okay Kira. We need to move fast so I'm going to put you on my back. Is that okay?" I spoke slowly for her, to make sure she understood. She nodded slowly.

"You know who loves Piggy back rides? Ena. I give them all the time but she prefers Stiles's ones. I wish he was her dad some times. He'd be a good dad to her. And a better mother than I am." Her words were quiet and slurred. I was trying to focus on getting towards the door, but her mouth was directly beside my ear and I couldn't help but listen to her nonsense rambling. Stiles a father? That would be a sight! But what does she mean about her being a mother?

I dismissed her words when we reached the door. It was steel and looked solid. It lead into an empty alley way.

I placed Kira down on the single step outside the door and walked further out into the alleyway. One end lead to a small lit up sidewalk and the other was a dead end.

I sniffed around a bit before I noticed something taped to the wall directly beside the door. It was a piece of paper. A note, actually. It was folded and my name was written on the outside in scratchy handwriting. The note was covered in smears of blood.

If you wish to find your friend,

Go where all lives

End.
