"You find imperfections only when you really look for them, so don't"

*IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE AT THE END*
-------------------------------------------------------------''Go to Prom with me'', he said.
"What if I don't want to?" I ask him, raising an eyebrow.
Confused?
OK
So, it was a Friday morning, another plain old day at school, but there was one thing different about it. The whole school was abuzz with the news of prom. Everywhere you looked, one saw guys kneeling down, or girls crying because their guy hadn't asked them yet. The usual prom stuff.
Sarah was the first one to be asked among the three of us. A week ago, Leo turned up at her doorstep, a box of pizza in hand, telling her that she would get a bite only of she went to Prom with him. Tiana pretended to barf into a bucket at all the cheesiness, but I secretly knew that she was glad she didn't have to kick Leo on the butt again.
These simple things that Leo did, made Sarah so happy. That made me happy too, Sarah was a monkey, and I was glad she had another monkey to keep her company.
Wasn't that what prom season was all about?
Making each other happy, spending time with each other, dancing, and having fun, doing crazy things that you'll remember for the rest of your life?
There were a few girls in school who didn't want to go to Prom because they didn't have a date, and that puzzled me. Not because they didn't have a date, but because they were missing out on an amazing evening filled with fun and chatter, one that will get you high even without alcohol.
You only have Prom once. You can live the experience just once, for a couple of hours, and then its done. Why let your self miss out on all that just because some douché didn't see how beautiful you are, and lose out on being with you?
It's always the small things, the small moments in life that count. If you ignore the tiny, precious moment that make up your life, you miss out on life itself.
Heavy?
Yup.
Anyway, so I was walking down the hallways with Sarah, and we were talking about Sarah's prom dress, and how Tiana and I would go together because, well because we didn't have dates, when we saw her and Noah a little ahead of us.
They seemed to be arguing, because I saw Tiana stick her tongue out at him.
Noah saw me, and smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling. He walked towards me, and held my hand.
''Gab'', he said, rubbing circles in the back of my palm with his thumb.''Yup?'' I asked him, popping the 'p'.
''Go to Prom with me.''
My eyes widened.
I was under the impression that we asked each other to prom, and by his tone, Noah was telling me to.
Obviously, I tried to control my heart, which was beating as fast as Ussain Bolt (sorry if I got the spelling wrong)
