From "Funeral Blues" by W.H. Auden:
"He was my North, my South , my East and my West
My working week and my Sunday rest
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever, I was wrong."
-------------------------------------------------------------I woke up to find my head resting on Noah's shoulder.
I remembered everything from the previous night, the nightmare, Noah sweating so much, everything.I observed his sleeping figure, his hand draped over my stomach, and his feet entangled in the sheets. His mouth was partly open, and his chest rose and fell in rhythm with his breathing.
He looked so cute when he slept..so innocent. I felt like I could watch him sleep all day. But I had to wake him up, I was hungry.
I poked his eye with my finger, and then started playing with his eyelashes, he groaned and his eyes fluttered open. When he saw me, he smiled.
''Thanks for being there. It was one of those nights, one of those bad nights", he said, and gave me a smile, his dimples showing.
I grinned, and yanked him up. '' You hungry? 'Cause I am" he said, and I nodded so hard, that I looked like a bobble-head. He chuckled and got up, walking towards the kitchen.
''Did Rachel call?'' he yelled''Not yet, she should soon'' I shouted back.
As of on cue, my phone buzzed. I picked it up.
''Gab, Tiana's awake, and she's throwing a tantrum because you weren't here when she woke up"
It was Rachel.I stifled back a laugh, and told her that I would be there in fifteen minutes.
I jumped off the bed, and ran to the bathroom to change into yesterday's clothes.
''Noah, Tiana's awake! Come quick, I'm waiting in the car"I called out to him, grabbing the keys and leaving the house.
I sat in the car for five minutes, then got bored, so I started honking.
Noah rushed out of the house with an exasperated look on his face.
He sat in, and glared at me. I just stuck my tongue out at him.''Here" he said, placing a sandwich in my lap.
The moment I bit into it, I knew that I was in sandwich-heaven. This was the best freaking sandwich I had ever tasted.
Noah saw my reaction, and grinned.-------------------------------------------------------------
''Look who's up" I said and walked towards Tiana's bed. She was sitting up, and eating as if she hadn't eaten in days , which probably was true.
Sarah was already there, and she gave me a look that said, ''Where were you, and why did you leave me alone with this buffoon?'' I mouthed an apology to her and sat down next to Tiana.
''You okay?" I asked her.
''Im more than okay, I'm sexy'' she said. She was fine.
''Do you even know how worried we were? You just collapsed and we had no idea about what to do and who to call. W... We almost lost you'' Sarah whispered, her voice barely audible.
''That's exactly why I didn't tell you, you guys already have a lot on your plate, and I didn't want to and something more to it" she said.
I slipped into my thoughts who they were arguing about how much Sarah needed Tiana.
They were so different. We were so different. Each one of us, we had our own qualities, and emotions, and each of us displayed them differently.
Sarah never actually told us how she felt. She showed us. She was never one to express emotions vocally. She believed in showing people how she felt.
