"What do you mean my real parents?" Balling my fists, I glared at the strange guy. Who did he think he was anyway? "My real parents are here!"

"Look, I don't have time to explain it right now. You can either trust that I will keep you safe, or not and I will drag you back to your family." He stepped toward me, eyes deadly

Here's the thing, when people talk to me that way I get really mad...really mad. "Go to hell,"  I hissed, and ducking around him, I ran.

Suddenly, a howl that made my skin crawl rose up from the dark woods, and I swallowed hard. The guy appeared over my shoulder, "I don't think that monster would mind having you for dinner, so you'd better come with me."

I decided that even if this guy was a jerk, he was better than the wolf. He grabbed my hand, and started pulling me away from the direction of the howl, his revolver out and ready for signs of movement.

When we got back to my house I saw that my parents were still not home, so the only car in the driveway besides my truck was the new dodge challanger, black with red racing stripes. I struggled to keep from drooling, but it was just so pretty.

"Shit," the guy said. "Get in. Now."

Turning, I saw the wolf. Blood no longer dripped from it, in fact it was as if it had never been shot. It was standing in the middle of my yard, foaming at the mouth, it's blue eyes bright with rage.

As it lunged for the guy, he shot it, straight in the chest. I flung open the door of the car and slammed it behind me, locking it as well.

The guy did not waste time to see if the wolf was dead, he jumped in the challanger and tore out of the driveway, hitting fifty down my street and drifting out onto the highway at maybe eighty.

"Christ, slow down," I muttered.

"You don't know how fast that thing can run," he growled. "Besides, I'm a good driver."

I snorted, finally noticing how loud the radio was, blasting Walk This Way by Run Dmc and Aerosmith, an awesome song by my standards.

Looking at the guy's expression, I decided it would be better to ask questions later.
