{Elle's POV}
I woke up on a nice warm bed. A fire was burning beside me. A figure sat in front of me. My eyes adjusted to see Harry looking at me with worried eyes.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
I sat up holding my head recovering from a massive headache. "Where are we?"
"Never mind that. Answer me first." He said.
"I'm fine. Just hungry, and a bit parched." I answered.
Harry didn't say a word but went to the table by the bed. "Here." He offered. It was a slice of bread with cheese on the side. Anything looked delicious right now. I didn't hesitate to devour the food. He laughed at me then handed me some water.
"Thank you." I slightly blushed. As pathetic as it was, I was hungry and I didn't care.
It grew silent for a bit. Harry stood over the table reading the newspaper that was on the table.
"I answered you. Now it's your turn to answer me." I interrupted.
He nodded and sat back down at the foot of the bed. "My father had made reservations at this place for me. I didn't plan to come here until you fell into my arms nearing death."
"So where are we?" I asked again.
"The Inn of Lathance." He answered directly.
I looked around. I've never been inside this place. And I never thought it would be this nice.
"Well, we should probably get some rest. You've got to show me around tomorrow." He smiled standing up. He walked over to the fire place and removed his shirt. I hadn't noticed but he did look more like a commoner than a prince. Taking into account he didn't have those fancy jackets or that golden belt wrapped around his waist. He then returned to the bed and started to pull the duvet back. He climbed in and set a pillow between us.
"What are you doing?" I asked watching his every move.
"Going to sleep what does it look like?" He asked laying his head on his hand, held up by his elbow. I gave him a questioning look and he caught on.
"You don't expect me to sleep on the floor do you?" He laughed.
"Oh but I do." I replied smiling.
His eyebrows furrowed but he still kept his playful smile. "But-- I'm a prince."
"And I'm a lady." I said leaning close to him.
"As you wish ma'lady." He scoffed getting out of the bed and moving to the floor. He grabbed the pillow he was laying on and the blanket that kept me warm.
"Well aren't we a bit sassy." I laughed.
"Goodnight." He mumbled.
-
At first I thought I was dreaming but then I opened my eyes to see it.
Harry had his arm over me. I was cuddled against him. My back was against his warm, bare chest. I felt his hand spooning my waist. His chin rested just above my head. I hadn't realised I was smiling until I felt the ache of my cheekbones. I pushed off of him waking him up.
"What! What is it!?" He asked delirious of the actual situation.
"I'm sorry, but I could've sworn I fell asleep to you on the floor!" I spat sitting up and crossing my arms.
He frowned and shifted over giving me the sight of his back muscles. "It was cold and uncomfortable down there." He replied.
"I bet you found your place nice and warm up here!" I scoffed.
