{Briar's POV}

I rushed back to the village, meeting my Knight.

"What say you?"

"Nothing of interest. The Prince departed from the two as soon as you left for the King. I kept watch on the Prince and he only purchased items from a shop. The other guardsmen watched the girl and the lad, but they reported that they only looked at booths."

So far there was nothing of importance.  "We were given new orders from the King." I said.

"Sire!" I heard behind me. Another one of my knights ran up to me. "I have something of interest. The Prince, and the two peasants, just left the village... Into the woods."

{Elle's POV}

I stood in front of the burning fireplace. Harry and Peter were outside tending to Luna. The sun was nearly set so I knew they'd be coming in soon.

"Elle!" Peter shouted as he slammed the door open. I flinched and immediately turned round. "Elle, look what Harry got me!"

He held a long item in his hands that was wrapped with a cloth. He unraveled it and held up a large sword.

"My God! Peter!" I shouted out of fear and partial excitement. "Be careful with that!"

"Don't worry, Elle." Harry said nonchalantly. "I'm going to make Peter the best swordsman in this whole kingdom. Well, after me of course." He laughed.

"Well let's not waste any time! C'mon Harry, before the sun sets!" Peter said excitedly.

"Peter..." I said in a pleading tone.

"You're not going to take this chance away from me Elle. You have your magic, and now I have my sword." He said blatantly.

I frowned, speechless.

Harry noticed my uneasiness and turned to Peter who was one foot out the door. "I'll meet you out there." He smiled.

Peter closed the door behind him.

"Why would you get him something like that!?" I scolded.

"Would you calm down?" He said still in his nonchalant attitude. "He's going to be okay!"

"If he has that, then he's going to feel obligated to use it!"

"He'll only use it irresponsibly if he's not taught how to use it at the appropriate moments. Elle, there is not a single boy out there who hasn't learned, or aren't already learning how to use a sword! You can't take this away from him!"

I looked down in defeat. "Harry, I swear if anything happens to him--"

"You have my word that I will not let him leave with a scratch." He interrupted.

"Then how am I supposed to know what to expect when I get into a real fight?" Peter said from the window.

Harry turned around and laughed. "You're not helping."

Peter smiled and walked away.

Harry turned back to me with sympathetic eyes. "I understand you're scared, but with practice, no harm will come his way."

I hesitated. It wouldn't be right to deny Peter the chance to protect himself. However it scared me that he would ever have to. "Alright. But please be careful. And nothing too dangerous!"

He laughed and kissed me on the cheek. "We'll be fine."
