I am dedicating this chapter to @LalaAguinaldo-Tesalo , she has been the most active reader and actually motivates me to keep writing this story. I really appreciate you! Love you girl! ;*

"Can you tell me who your parents were?" Athora asked me.

"Phillip and Isabel." I answered.

Her eyes grew wide. She exchanged confused looks with her husband.

"I didn't know they had a daughter. ." She whispered.

"Of course they did. Alice had told us about her once before." Ralph whispered back.

"Who's Alice?" I interrupted.

Athora turned to me sympathetically. "Alice was our daughter." She answered.

"What relation did she have with my parents?"

"Her and her husband, Lance attended the meetings your parents hosted."

Right then I was struck with guilt. I looked from Ralph to Athora. They both held sad expressions. "Did she-?" My voice trailed off. They knew what I was asking, and I reckon I already knew the answer.

"Yes. They both did." She said quietly.

Ralph slammed his hands on the table. "All because of that bloody law! I told them that it wasn't a big deal and to just let it go, but they refused to be normal and said they were going to fight for what was right! Look where it bloody got them! Six feet below! That's where it got them!" He spat standing up and pacing a bit.

"Ralph! You musn't speak like that. You know as well as I that it was the right thing to do!" Athora scolded motioning him to sit back down.

"Pardon me? But what were they fighting for?" Harry asked

"They were fighting for the bloody rights of magic, that's what they were fighting for!"

"Magic? Real magic?"

Ralph then realised that Harry was not one of us. His hard angry expression softened to nervousness. I guess he was mentally kicking himself for slipping. I looked at Harry with wide eyes. I knew this moment was coming but I never prepared for it.

"They don't know...?" Eric asked me.

I looked at my fiddling hands and shook my head. Harry looked at me in confusion. That's when I brought my head back up. "But I trust them." I explained. Instead of making Athora and Ralph believe I trusted them, I tried to make myself to believe it more.

"Well if you trusted them, you would have told them by now." Ralph replied harshly.

Peter brought his hand up slowly. "Bu- I know. I've known as long as Elle."

I had forgotten they were speaking of Peter as well. My attention was mainly on Harry and how he had no knowledge of it.

"I'm sorry but are you saying that magic is real?" Harry asked.

"If you two aren't together then what are your relations?" Athora asked changing the subject.

"I- well.." I stuttered. I knew Harry didn't want to say anything. "It's complicated." I finally answered.

"Athora may I speak to you for a moment?" Ralph said sternly.

{Athora's POV}

Ralph and I went to the front. I knew he was angry. We just spoke of magic in front of a mortal.

"Athora what are we doing letting mortals in our shop?!" Ralph loudly whispered.

"I thought the boys were of magic as well. Ralph, she said she trusted them, can't we just go off of that?"

"Trust? Athora trust is a meaningless word now. You can't trust anyone." He mocked. "Isn't that what we've been teaching Eric? They must go, we can't continue this."

"You know why we can't do that!" I retaliated.

"I don't give a bloody care that she is Grand Witch! Mortals know about us! It's only a matter of time before they start talking and the king eventually finds out! Athora, he'll have our heads!"

"You don't have to go in there Ralph but I am. That girl has a right to know! For goodness sakes she has no parents!"

"That's their fault!"

"Poor girl probably knows nothing of her past! We have to help her!" I exclaimed.

"But the other two don't need to be there!"

"As I said before, I'm going off of her trust. Join me if you want, but I will not let you steal knowledge from this girl." I said calmly. I waited for him to follow. He eventually did and we returned into the room. Elle sat in the chair with an uneasy expression. The other two seemed to be waiting for something to happen.

I took my seat but Ralph stayed standing.

"Do you know of Majesto?" I asked.

"Athora.." Ralph said in a scolding tone.

The girl looked up at me with a confused expression. "No, am I supposed to?"
