A message spreads to everyone who currently lives in the Pink residence.
"I swear I will suffocate you in your sleep if you make noise while entering the house. There is someone very dear to you asleep on the couch. Love, Mali."
Everywhere in Busan frowns show on their faces. First off, how dare she speak to us like that. She's younger, she should show respect. Second, who is asleep on the couch? The eight hard workers all send the same text back.
"I'm coming over."
A big sigh goes through the Pink residence. This is not what she aimed for. She just wanted to tell them to shut their damn mouths when they come in because they are always so loud. That won't work anymore.

'They're seriously all coming home early from work?' Chen asks me once more in disbelieve. We sit on one of the two couches, Lay is sleeping on the second couch. 'What did you even send them?' I tap twice on the table, making the home screen pop up. I go to the message feed and show it to Chen, who almost chokes on his own breath from laughing. 'Wow, I think I might love you.'
'Floyd would kill you if he were here right now,' I tell him.
'Why would I kill him?' The door slams closed way too loudly.
'I will cut your fucking balls off if you don't quiet down,' I hiss at him. Chen begins to laugh hysterically again, trying so hard to keep quiet. My eyes land on the other couch and I let out a sigh of relieve when I see Lay isn't moving. He really needs to sleep for a few more hours at least if he wants to recover fast.
'Who is this?'
'The guy they thought was dead,' I tell him. Chen could probably explain it better, but he is having trouble speaking right now with the giggle fit that comes out of his mouth.
'So what do we do now?' The door opens again and the seven guys come inside all at once. I stand up from the couch and run towards them, keeping them where they are.
'Did you all read my message?' I ask them. They start to make noise about it, but from the noise I can tell that they read it. 'Good, so don't make noise.'

We've spread around the kitchen so that Lay can sleep in peace. They ended up crying, almost all of them that is. Happy tears.
'So what's his story?' I ask when I feel the mood change a bit.
'He's the only one of us that doesn't have it,' Suho says, looking at Lay with tears in his eyes. 'We were so scared he wouldn't survive being attacked like that.' I nod.
'So, I am just going to ask this because I am starting to understand what is going on here,' I say and jump onto the kitchen counter so that my eyes are at the same level as theirs, me being quite short. 'You guys are EXO, right?' I see Floyd's eyes widen as he seems to realize it too. We have been so busy that we didn't have time to think about things like these.
'Yes, we are,' Suho says. We should be happy to have found them, but we aren't. The state we found them in is terrible. Killing even. Two of them are slightly hurt, one of them can faint any second and one of them almost died and is so weak right now. Things aren't exactly looking up for them.
For some reason, something inside me shuts off. Quite logical actually when you realize that all the hope I had has just been taken away. Without saying a word, I jump off the counter and head upstairs where I lock myself in my room. I let my body hit the wall next to the door and slide down like a rag doll. They were our last hope on freedom. Gone. Maybe the army is right. Maybe we shouldn't be alive. My eyes find a glass of water on my desk. With a graceful movement of my hand, I make the water come to me. Soon I find myself playing with it, morphing it into all kinds of shapes, but suddenly a clear gun is pointed at me. I make a small sound and let a water bullet slowly hit me on the head. I don't want to do this anymore. The running, the hiding, the keeping quiet.
After about 16 hours, there are knocks on the door again. I haven't moved. All I've been doing is play with the water as if all my answers are in that little bit of water. More knocks when I don't answer.
'Mila, are you okay?' Floyd. Of course it's Floyd. I've spend all my life with Floyd.
'Obviously not,' I reply and see the water in my hands turn into a gun again, pointed at me again.
'Please come out. I'm worried about you.' I let out a sigh and turn the gun into Floyd's face.
'No.' He looks at me disappointingly, but I feel no regret.

Four days later.
'Hey Mila. I thought you'd like to know that Chen is getting better and Lay stayed awake the whole day yesterday.'
'Thanks Xiumin.'
'Are you coming out today?'
'No.'

Six days later.
'Mila, please come out. We're all very worried about you.'
'Please Mila. We need you.'
'Come on, you can't stay in there forever.'

One week later.
This time it's different. A thud against the door. Someone is sitting down against the door.
There is no begging if I want to come outside, but silence. Until he speaks.
'They told me you saved me, so I guess I should thank you.' It must be Lay.
'Did they send you?'
'No, I came here myself. They're all out working.' A frown comes on my face.
'Even Chen?'
'Chen has been doing great. They told me about the situation. He has been sleeping normally and seems very strong now.' He stays silent for a bit. 'You're worried about him, aren't you?'
'I worry about all of you, even if I don't want to.'
'From what I've heard, you're a very caring person.' I let out a small sarcastic chuckle.
'Hearing isn't knowing.'
'Can I please see your face?' he says out of the blue. 'You don't need to come out of your room. You can just open the door a little and close it again when you think it's been enough.' My hand reaches for the door handle, but I am hesitant. I've known my brother longer than today and he is quite clever. The door opens and I see the tired eyes of the boy. He smiles.
'You haven't been sleeping, have you?' A smile spreads on my face too as I shake my head.
'I haven't been able to.'
'Do you want me to lie down with you? I promise I won't do anything.' For some reason this sounds very appealing and I open the door wider, standing up and walking to the bed. I head him close the door and lock it.

My head on his chest, cuddled against his side, his arm around me. I feel like golden. Something about him is so familiar, so comfortable. He doesn't seem to care about getting sexual with me, or getting me in general. I think he just needed this kind of affection as much as I needed it. I am feeling this thing in my chest and stomach.
I think it's happiness.
