'Jihye, Kyungsoo is coming over tonight,' Yixing says out of the blue.
'How'd you make that happen?' I ask in surprise. We don't speak of my breakdown anymore. It's irrelevant. We need to make progress right now
'Well, I work in the restaurant where he works and I asked him to come over and watch a movie with us,' he tells me.
'Who is us?' I ask him a bit suspicious.
'Me, you, Jongin and Kyungsoo,' he says casually.
'Jongin is coming too?' I ask confused.
'Yeah, he works there too. He and Kyungsoo are very good friends.'And now Kyungsoo, Yixing and Jongin are in the kitchen of Yixing's apartment while I lie under the sheets of our bed in the bedroom. I was tired, so I went to take a nap. In his clothes.
He asked me if I wanted to live with him and I said yes. So we went to my place to grab my stuff and I moved in. Though I've got my clothes here, his clothes are much more comfortable to sleep in. A few knocks on the door wake me from my slumber.
'Jagi, dinner is ready,' Yixing says. I let out a small groan in response. 'Kyungsoo cooked.'
'I don't care~,' I whine. He chuckles and walks over to the bed, sitting down next to it. He starts to poke my cheek.
'I know you care. You love his cooking,' he says when I finally turn my head towards him.
'Can I keep wearing your shirt?' I ask him with puppy eyes. He seems to be thinking about it in a very serious manner.
'Only if you put on pants and a bra,' he replies, but not without blushing. He buries his face in his hands. 'I feel so awkward saying that.' I lie my hand on his cheek and give him a loving smile when he lowers his hands and looks at me.
'That's fine. You're just looking out for me,' I say, knowing that he is only saying it because he doesn't want the other two to stare. He's a sweetheart. 'Let's get dinner.'
Once I've put on some black shorts and a bra, I walk into the kitchen with Yixing's long-sleeved, white shirt still on. It covers my shorts, I've got the sleeves rolled over a few times so that I can properly grab stuff and the whole thing is basically a dress on me. Not that I care. In the kitchen, Kyungsoo and Jongin are waiting patiently for us.
'This is my girlfriend, Jihye,' Yixing says to introduce me. Kyungsoo gives me a strange look. I nod my head at the both of them and sit down at the table.
'Nice to meet you Jihye, I'm Jongin,' Jongin says cheerfully.
'Nice to meet you too,' I reply, but Kyungsoo still hasn't said a thing. He just keeps looking at me. 'Yixing told me you cooked Kyungsoo,' I say, 'you're a cook right?'
'I am. What do you do for a living?' he asks.
'I work at a cafe downtown along with some friends,' I tell him.
'Ah, so a barista and a waiter. Did you two meet through work?' Jongin asks.
'Kind of,' I say with a smile on my face.
'She took my order and I asked her out a few weeks ago,' Yixing tells them, leaving out all the awkward other details.
'Sounds like something you'd do,' Kyungsoo says mindlessly.
'And now you two are living together?' Jongin asks a bit confused. I nod. 'Hm, I guess some couples get attached easier than others.'Dinner was delicious and I tell Kyungsoo multiple times while we do the dishes together. He seems a bit lost in thoughts while he is busy cleaning the plates and utensils. Until I hear a curse coming from his mouth. He holds up his bleeding hand. He sliced the palm of his hand open. It's not a deep cut, but it bleeds like crazy.
'Here, hold this on it,' I tell him as I quickly grab a clean towel, 'one second. I'll got get a plaster or something.' He nods. 'Yixing, where do you have your first aid kit?' I ask when I get to the living room.
'Over here,' Yixing says, coming in action right away. He hands me the kit and I rush back to Kyungsoo to patch him up. He sits down on the kitchen counter like I ordered him too and suddenly his eyes get a bit watery. I look up at him, knowing that he remembers.
'Are you okay?' I ask him. He nods with a small smile.
'You are too good for this world Mali,' he says. Now I'm sure he remembers. I never told him my nickname in this reality.
'It's just like after the market, isn't it?' I say with a smile.
'It is,' he replies happily. 'So we make people remember by significant memories?' I nod at him as I finish patching him up. 'I know how to make Jongin remember.'
