-Chapter Seven-
"Calum, i'm serious." I groaned following close behind him. "let's just go back."
"We've been walking for thirty minutes and I'm not turning back now." Calum snapped.
"Why didn't we just take a damn car?" I whined.
"because cars are overrated, plus my mom took away my car because I came home past my curfew yesterday." Calum rolled his eyes.
"You're practicaly a grown man, can't you make your own decisions?" I giggled.
"Not according to my mom." Calum chuckled.
"Where are we even going?" I asked.
"To the coffee shop." Calum smiled.
"CALUM, we passed the coffee shop 20 minutes ago." I cried.
"Calm down, I'm joking. We're going to the movies." Calum laughed.
"We passed that too." I mentioned.imp
"shit, really?" Calum said.
I nodded and rolled my eyes. "Well on the bright side, I managed to last a full thirty minutes of your complaining." Calum joked nudging me slightly in the ribs.
I laughed and flashed him a cheeky smile. Calum was one of those people who could manage to make laugh in the world situations possible, such as being basically thirty minutes from home with really no source of getting back to where we belong.
"we could take a bus home." Calum suggested scratching the back of his neck. I shrugged, "Yeah, I guess."

Calum and I sat in the bus in silence, but not a typical awkward silence. More of a 'casual' silence I guess you could call it. Calum took a glance at his watch and groaned, "we missed our show." I sighed, "that's alright, I mean we could always see it another time."
"You don't really get it." Calum sighed.
"How do I not get it, we can just see it tomorrow it's not that big of a deal." I stated.
"No it was going to be different, I was going to ask you something." Calum said.
"You don't have to take me to the movies to ask me something." I giggled.
"I just wanted a good impression." Calum said. "I cant really ask you what I was going to ask you with a bad impression."
"Calum, were you going to ask me out?" I smiled.
"What? No-I mean yes-wait-kind of, not really. I-I mean yeah." Calum stuttered.
"You didn't need to take me to the movies to ask that." I chuckled.
"Gosh this is embarrassing." Calum sighed. "Why?" I asked.
"Because you probably don't want to." Calum said. "I never said that." I smiled.
"So you will?" Calum said, his eyes slightly lighting up. "I didn't say that either." I said.
Calum's eyes fell to his feet and I could see a little disapointment in his eyes. "Is tomorrow good?" I asked.
"What?" Calum said raising his eyebrows slightly. "Is tomorrow good, you know. For our date?" I laughed.
"Oh yeah, totally. I guess I can pick you up at five or something." Calum smiled, his facial expression softening a bit.
"Yeah, just please don't take me to the movies. I don't want this to happen again." I winked.
Calum laughed, "yeah me either."
The bus finally came to a hault by my house and I stood up from my seat, "see you tomorrow Calum."
"See you." Calum smiled as I walked off the bus and onto the cold pavement. As much as I didn't want to admit it, I was nervous for Calum and I's date. I didn't want to end up making a fool of myself. If I did, he would re-think his decision of going out with me and he'd leave me miserable, alone, and being haunted by the constant dream of Annette's death.
And I really didn't what that.
