-Chapter Nine-

It had been one week since I last saw Calum and my anxiety was starting to get worse. I didn't really know why Calum and I hadn't spoken since our little 'date' but I was assuming it was because Calum thought I was strange like everybody else and wanted to distance himself from me.

That night, my haunting dream came back worse then ever. Something was added to the dream that made it even more appalling then my past dreams of Annette.

Annette passed me with a blank expression on her face turned to face me and gave me a cold stare before raising the gun to her head. "you could've saved me." she whispered before pulling the trigger and collapsing to the floor in her own pool of blood.

I lifted my head off my pillow and covered my mouth with my hand to prevent myself from screaming. I looked around my bedroom panting before pushing my face into my pillow and letting out a high pitched scream that came out to sound like no more then a mumble.

I attempted to hold my tears back but I was to weak, I began to sob into my hands without the ability to stop. I grabbed my phone from my counter and quickly opened up Calum's contact and called him.

"Fay?" Calum yawned from the other end of the line.

"Calum." I sobbed into the phone.

"Fay, are you alright? What happened?" Calum asked sounding slightly more panicked then worried. "Please I need you Calum." I cried into the phone.

"I'm coming over right now." Calum spoke into the phone before hanging up.

I sat there in a pool of my own tears awaiting Calum's arrival until I heard a quiet little tap on my window. I slid out of bed and briskly walked towards the window and opened it for Calum to get inside.

"Fay, what happened?" Calum asked embracing me.

"I had a bad dream." I sniffed.

"A bad dream?" Calum asked slightly confused. "this is happening because of a bad dream?"

"You can leave, I'm sorry if I bothered you." I choked out.

"No." Calum spoke softly.

Calum lifted my chin a little bit until I faced him and flashed me one of his beautiful smiles.

"I'm always going to be here for you." he smiled as he leaned a little closer. "You can tell me about this dream of yours whenever you're ready."

"Even when you don't need me, because you mean a lot more to me then you think."

I nodded before stepping a little closer to Calum.

"and if you ever need me..." I started but Calum cut me off by closing the space in between us and pressing his lips softly onto mine.

The kiss was soft yet passionate. Calum made me feel safe and that was the best thing he could do because safety was the only thing I needed.

I pulled away and looked into his beautiful brown eyes as he spoke, "always." he smiled and I nodded before pressing my lips softly onto his once more.
