Chapter Fourteen
I scowl at Kyle as he lead me around the mall.
Last night dinner went crazy. In a good way for Mom anyway.
Everyone was ecstatic to know I agreed, and the bastard smirk at me like he knew all along I would say yes.
And right now, I was forced to skip my school so I could go shopping for an engagement party that will be held in at least two weeks from now.
I was so not up for any event right now.
"Come on babe, we need to hurry up. I have work later." He said as he glance at me over his shoulder with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes, "Your paper works can wait." I grumbled. "I didn't even ask for any party."
He gasp dramatically and turn around facing me with fake hurt expression on his face, "I'm wounded Elaina. Am I not important to you to even held an amazing party to show me off that I was going to settle down with you?"
My frown and tight lips turn to amused soft smile as I shake my head at him, "Such a drama queen." I commented.
He grin and shrug, then held my hand before continuing our short journey to the boutique that our Mom has book for us.
"I have a meeting later at 3.30pm so this should be quick right?" I ask Kyle.
He glance at me and frown slightly, "I do hope so. I have some shit to sort out and then I'll pick you up at 6.30 for our dinner date later tonight. You're working at the Jon Quincy's agency firm right?"
My brows raise, "How'd you know?"
He smile, "Heard from dad you took your dad's steps and follow him. Recruited at such young age sweetheart."
I scowl, "Stop giving all of that annoying nicknames!" I snapped getting irritated by the minute.
He chuckle, "Its cute not annoying."
"Annoying to me, so stop."
He grin at me mischievously, "Never!"
The rest of the hour went by in a blur. The lady in store was really nice and patient with me when I couldn't seem to agree with anything that Kyle and her suggesting. But unlike her, Kyle was more annoyed at the fact I couldn't decide with the colour and the dress I wanted.
But nonetheless, after the hard thinking and all that jazz, I finally agreed on a dress and the theme and all that and we both head out.
Kyle drop me off at the headquarters, looking out the window in more of curious glance and the way that you would look like you tried to remember every detail. His eyes scanned over all the security cameras that was place out the headquarters in case of any people try to break in when we're out.
"Everything alright?" My voice startle him as he jerk backward and turn to me.
He cleared his throat, "Yeah why wouldn't it be?"
