Prologue
We are here in the rooftop. Silence invaded us as we look up at the beautiful shining stars in the sky.
"What will you do in your last heartbeat?" I asked out of nowhere, leaning in his shoulder.
He successfully sent butterflies in my stomach when he smirked, "That's a tricky question. How about you?"
I faced him. I bit my lower lip before speaking, "Hmm, I'll probably ask for another one. Just enough for me to tell you how much I'm in love with you."
He smiled, a bitter one, before he gently cupped my face using his warm hands, "Me too, goldfish. Me, too."
I felt his soft lips in my forehead. He wrapped me in his arms and I felt my shoulder being wet. Tightly, I closed my eyes to avoid crying like what he is doing now.
Yeah, I will tell him how much I love him.
That is what I will do in my last heartbeat.
