Niall's Pov:

New year, A new start, Fresh beginnings, A chance to make new years resolutions, My new years resolution? To tell Zayn how much I love him. I have all these feeling for him deep inside of me, Feelings that I think he returns, We spend all our time together, Underneath the moonlight chasing fireflies. Zayn always gives me butterflies, When he hugs me, When he pulls me closer to him, The butterflies take over my whole body, They never fade away and I never want them to. I wanna be with Zayn, I want him to hold me close, Kiss me with all the passion he has inside of his body, I can't stand waiting, If he won't make the first move then I have to, New year is the perfect time, If he dosen't feel the same way in the morning I can pass it off as being drunk off my ass, But my heart tells me that he does return my feelings, Once everythings out there I hope that we can live happily ever after.

The party was wild, Music was blaring, It was twenty minutes until midnight, I had twenty minutes to find Zayn, I found him fairly quickly he was standing near the door having a smoke, I took a deep breath before making my way over to him, Once infront of him I took the cigarette from his mouth and dropped it to the floor before stamping on it.

"You know I hate you doing that" I said, Zayn chuckled.

"Sorry Ni, It's a bad habit" Zayn replied before giving me his cute eyes, I couldn't help but smile lovingly at him, He then pulled me into a tight hug and instantly I felt the butterflies shoot through me, I felt like I was flying through the air and Zayn was holding onto me tightly, The feeling was amazing. I let Zayn hold me for as long as he wanted to, I didn't object, I love being in his arms. "So found anyone you wanna kiss at midnight?" Zayn asked, I slowly looked up, Now or never.

"Yeah, Yeah I have" I replied, Zayn raised an eyebrow.

"Who?" Zayn questioned, I moved my mouth to Zayn's ear.

"So won't you pull me closer, kiss me faster

Take me to your happily ever after

Take me to your happily ever after" I spoke into his ear, I looked Zayn straight in the eyes feeling like I could melt at any moment, I then leaned upwards and connected my lips to Zayn's, I felt him freeze, I then pulled away from him. "I'm sorry, I just needed you to know" I said before walking away from him. 

I walked out into the garden, We had less then five minutes to midnight and things with Zayn didn't work the way I wanted. Maybe I got it wrong? Maybe I was the only one who had those feelings inside of me, Maybe he didn't feel the way I did when we'd hold eachother, Maybe I read all the signs wrong. 

"Niall! Niall!" Zayn's voice filled my ears, I looked up to see him making his way over to me. "Niall what the hell was that!" Zayn stated.

"I jus-"

"You can't fucking do that! You can't quote that song, Kiss me, Then just walk away! What the hells going on!" Zayn exclaimed, I sighed.

"If you shut up for a minute I'll tell you" I replied, Zayn nodded his head. 

"I have these feelings inside of me, Whenever you touch me butterflies just erupt all through me, I can't breathe, I can't think straight, The only thing I can think of his how amazing it is to be in your arms and how much I don't want those butterflies to go away, I wanna lay with you under the stars forgetting everyone and everything, I want you to hold me closer to you then humanly possible, I want my heart to keep beating faster then it's supposed to, I wanna be with you Zayn, And apart of me thinks you feel the exact same way, If you don't then I've probably just made a massive idiot of myself but I can't pretend anymore. I'm inlove with you Zayn and I have been for a long time" I stated, People were starting to gather outside midnight was coming up. 

"10, 9, 8"

"Your inlove with me?" Zayn yelled over the screams of people counting down, I nodded my head as Zayn stepped closer to me. 

"7,6,5"

"Yeah, I am" I replied, Zayn smiled before wrapping his arms around me.

"4,3,2,1!" People's cheers and screams of joy sounded all around us.

"I love you too" Zayn stated before pulling me into a passionate kiss, A smile spread across my lips as fireworks shot up into the sky and erupted, My arms instantly wrapped around Zayn's waist as he pulled me closer to him, His heart was pounding the exact same as mine, Firework after firework were erupting in the sky, I got my midnight kiss with the one I love, The added bonus was the fireworks made the moment even more perfect.
