I Won't Let Anyone Hurt You

Tumblr prompt- Zayn takes Niall out for dinner, and after a while Zayn goes to the bathroom. When Zayn comes back Niall is missing, Zayn calls him but he doesn't pick up his phone so he runs outside, and when he walks down the street he can hear cries of pain from an alley where he finds some gross guy trying to rape Niall, then Zayn saves him and takes him home with lots of fluff!

Zayn's Pov:

It's been ages since Niall and I spent some time together. I can't remember the last time we went out just the two of us. We've both been so busy, But tonight we took the opportunity to spend sometime together. I had everything arranged. First we'd go get something to eat, Then we'd go for a romantic walk. After that we'd get some ice cream and lay in the grass watching the stars fill the sky. Everything was going perfect, That was until I went away to the toilet. When I came back Niall was gone. His seat was empty, But his jacket was still there. I raised my eyebrow before scanning the restaurant, He didn't come into the toilet, If he did I would have seen him. I pulled my phone from my pocket. Great, No signal. I rolled my eyes before throwing some notes onto the table, I then pulled on my jacket and exited the restaurant. Once outside I dialled Niall's number, After a few rings the phone went to voicemail.

"What the hell" I mumbled before hanging up and trying again. I began walking down the streets. Niall wouldn't just leave, I know he wouldn't. I dialled Niall's number once again and placed the phone to my ear. I raised my eyebrow when I heard the faint sound of what I knew was Niall's ringtone. " Niall?" I questioned as I walked towards the sound. 

"Shut up will you!"

"Ah! Stop. Please stop" I heard Niall plead, I quickly rounded the corner of the alleyway. 

"Oi! Get your fucking hands off him!" I spat as my fist collided with the jaw of the man who was hovering over Niall. Niall quickly scurried away, It was then that I noticed a rip in his shirt and his jeans halfway down his legs, Anger rose inside my body. "What'd you do to him?!" I kicked the man. "What did you fucking do?!" Another kick. "You dirty son of a bitch! If you touched him I swear I'll rip your fucking organs out one by one!" A kick across the face. "You sick cunt! Come on try getting up! Fucking try getting up to touch him again! Come on! I dare you!" I spat with nothing but anger pouring from my voice. 

"Zayn. Zayn please" Niall cried out, I looked over at him to see his face was full of fear. His body was shaking and I rushed towards him, Niall quickly grabbed hold of me and the man on the floor took the opportunity to run, I quickly turned around.

"Oi where'd you think your go-"

"Zayn stop! Zayn please" Niall chocked out as his grip on my arm tightened, I turned my head back to face him.

"Did he touch you? Did he do anything to you?" I questioned, Niall shook his head as his arms wrapped tightly around my neck.

"No" He cried out.

"If he touched you I swear-"

"He didn't! Zayn please just hold me please" 

Niall only left my side when he had no other choice. As I drove us back to his place he gripped my hand tightly. When we entered his apartment he pulled me onto the couch and cuddled close to me. I couldn't get the images out my mind. What if this guy hurt Niall? If I'd gotten there only five or ten minutes later he could have raped him. He could have forced himself on the boy I love. The mere thought of it made my skin crawl and my blood boil. Niall refused to report the attack, He stated that he just wanted to forget it.

"Niall baby look at me" I whispered softly, Niall slowly raised his head. "I need to ask you something and you have to be honest with me ok?" I stated. "Niall did he, I mean did he, Niall did he rape you?" I chocked out, Niall closed his eyes before shaking his head.

"No" He whispered. "He was going to, But you got there in time" Niall mumbled, A small rush of relief went through me. 

"Thankgod!" I exclaimed, Niall slowly looked away. 

"I was so scared Zayn. I was so afraid. I thought, I thought you wouldn't come, I thought you wouldn't find me in time" Niall whispered with tears sliding down his face, I shook my head before cupping his cheek. 

"I'd always find you Niall. Wherever you went, Wherever somebody took you, I'd find you, I'd never stop looking for you" Niall looked up at me. "I'd never let anything happen to you. I'd always get in the way no matter what it was we were facing, You know that don't you?" Niall slowly nodded his head. "I'd rather something horrible happen to me then you" I ran my fingers through Niall's hair. "No scumbag is ever touching you again. I swear to you" I stated, Niall smiled weakly. 

"I know. I love you Zayn" Niall whispered, I gently kissed his lips. 

"I love you too beautiful" I stated before pulling Niall close to me, He laid his head on my chest. If any harm came to Niall I don't know what I'd do. If one of us was to be hurt beyond imagination I'd rather it be me. I hate seeing him hurt, I hate the idea of him suffering or being afraid. I'd always be there to save Niall, No matter the time, No matter the place, I'd always save him. A life without Niall isin't a life I want. He's my boy I'll do anything to protect him, I'll take any punishment out there, As long as I know he's safe that's the only thing I care about. I held Niall close to me as I pressed a kiss to his head. He's my everything and he always will be.
