Layler’s POV.

Why did that punk even show up!
Somebody once said "if you ignore it, it will go away" psssssh I guess somebody lied.

I completely zoned him out yet he still didn't leave! I wait impatiently in my car for my brother and after a while he enters the car.

"Took you long enough"

"Oh I was a having a chat with your friend, Jerry right?"

"Not my friend"

"Yeah sure you let him watch the game, remember what happened the last time that Marcus guy tried to flirt with you during the game-"

"He isn't my friend"
I start the engine and drive off before he shows up. Ugh that guy likes popping up out of nowhere!

"Okay boyfriend then?"

"Just a business partner"

"Meeting? Peach outfit, good mood all day...okay your crush then?"

"Keep talking I might just forget that you’re my brother"

"Keep threatening me I might just convince myself that I have a brother in law"

"Will you stop? I do not ask about your booty calls okay" I say and he looks away, yeah bro I know about your casual fucks.

I park in the garage and we exit the car simultaneously. We walk in to the kitchen he opens the oven and then he takes out two plates of lasagne.

"How was the game?" Alexis comes in and asks.

"Great we won and I met Layler's friend boy"

"She has a friend boy huh? Name?"

"Listen you two, Jerry is my business partner, now where is nena?" I change the topic.

"Sleeping, so Jerry uh?" Alexis winks at me.

"That is it!" I stand up and walk up the stairs. I turn my phone on the minute I enter my room.

My screen flashes with a text from Jerry so I delete it without reading and then I fall back on my bed.

"I am sorry dear"
"Mom is that you?"
"I should have told you but it's that" "Mom, is that you!? Told me what?"

"Mom, mom! Mom!"

(Sounds of sirens)

"Mom!!" I shout the minute I wake up. I aggressively rub my eyes, and then I get out of bed and head down stairs.

"Morning dear" My nena says.

"Hey sis" Alexis says while drinking a cup of black coffee, they are all seated at the dining table.

"Geez what are pyjamas for L" Alex says.
I give him a straight face. It takes me a few seconds to realize that I am actually still wearing my peach outfit from yesterday, well whatever. I take a sit next to my nena.

"So we have breakfast without brushing our teeth these days uh L?"

"Shut up Alex" I am not in the mood.
I take a bowl and then I pour some yogurt and add some fruits and then I start digging in.

"Oh well gotta bounce" Alex says, he stands up and grabs an apple and his iPod.

"Do not forget to get the registration forms for your sister, she has to start school next week" My nena says and he nods while exiting and I look at my nena.

"Alexis is starting school?"

"Yes dear"

"So Alexis is starting school, y’all are already registering her, and you haven't spoken to me? What if I can't even afford it? And why’re y’all making decisions alone?"

"Sorry dear but we both know that you do have the money"

"Sorry dear we both know that you do have the money" I imitate her.
I stand up and exit the room. I provide everything for them yet they do not even bother to give me a heads up on financial decisions. Okay, I walk back in. geez Stains, Bipolar much?

"Whatever nena, I will do what I am good at and that is paying while y’all make requests"

"Sorry dear"
I do not even bother to reply I go upstairs, undress and then I walk straight into the shower. 30 minutes later I get out and I decide that I am working from home so I put on my denim bum shorts and a blue see through top, and I rock some white slippers. I put on a blue bandana on my head and then I head to my office in this house and get to work.
