"Will you just sit down!?" I say to Bauti who is nervously covered in blood and walking back and forth in the hospital hallway.

He ignores me completely and he continues to pace back and forth. The doctor comes out and he starts to address us.

"Yes doctor how is my son?" Bauti asks, you can hear by the sound of his voice that if the doctor were to deliver bad news he would pass out on the spot.

"Your son lost a lot of blood sir, we can take blood from you or the moth-" Jane walks towards the doctor and interrupts him.

"Doctor, the patient in room b26 is having-" She notices me and Bauti.
"What are you guys doing here where is Andy? Did y’all get in a fight again?" She asks in a chilled manner, me and Bauti being wounded was never a big deal, it is something that she got used to.

"Listen we need to get blood from either you or the mother to help save his life"

"Whose life is the doctor talking about?" Jane asks and Bauti looks at me signalling that I should try and help him.

"Uhmmmmm Andy got shot Jane"

"What!? What happened? Doctor is my son going to be okay?"

"Yes if we can get him the blood as soon as possible"

"What are you waiting for doc let’s go and draw the blood" Bauti says.

"Okay then come with me"

"Doctor wait, we cannot give my son blood...he is not...our biological son" Jane says leaving all three of us in shock.

"What do you mean Jane? Andy is my son and yours!" Bauti shouts and Jane starts to cry and then she looks away from all of us and Bauti grabs her arm, pulls her close enough and then he gives her a straight look.

"Talk!"

"I adopted Andy...I had to I am sorry"

"You did what? How!? You were pregnant! What!"

"I had a miscarriage okay...I wanted to keep you with me so I pretended to be pregnant and later I paid a woman to sell me Andy, I am so sorry please forgive me"
Bauti lets go of her arm and he pushes her away, she kneels down crying and then she holds on to Bauti's legs and she starts to weep bitterly.

A nurse comes running to us and she whispers something into the doctor’s ear then they both leave us.
Bauti stands there with nothing but anger written all over his face. Bauti loves Andy a lot, he sees Andy as a gift from God after having lost his daughter with Layler, Bauti would take a bullet for Andy, just that tonight he was angry, drunk and he was not thinking straight, after this I am definitely taking him to the psychologist he needs serious help.

The doctor returns and I walk up to him.

"Doctor now that we cannot get Andy any blood what are we going to do?"

"Jane, Bautista...I am sorry but we lost him"

"Lost him? Doctor this hospital isn't that big, find him!" I say clearly shock has washed away all sense from my head.

"Sir, Andy passed away...he lost too much blood and as we were about to look for another similar blood type his life line cut off and he passed away"

I turn to Bauti who is still in the same position he was in, he isn't angry anymore, he is broken, completely shattered, his face is pink, eyes are red and tears are just flowing from his eyes, I've never seen Bauti cry ever before even when he lost his daughter.

Jane collapses and the nurses take her away.
I walk up to Bauti and I ask that we should leave but instead he heads on to the room that Andy was kept, I follow him and when he gets there he stands beside Andy's little bed and he weeps bitterly.

"I am sorry little man, I should have protected you but instead, I killed you" And with that he takes Andy's little body and he holds him with both his hands, and then he sits down on a chair.

"Now hush little Andy don't you cry, daddy's gonna buy you a nice coffin, and in case daddy doesn't make it to heaven, tell the big homie that he better look after you...for me" He sings those words for an hour or so still weeping bitterly. The nurses come to take the body away.

I take Bauti home, give him a shower, dress him in one of my pair of clothes and then I put him to sleep. I take out a sleeping bag and I decide that I will be sleeping in here tonight, just so that I can look after him but before I do that I send Layler a text.
