THE MESSIAH'S REVENGE.

Chapter 5.

I arrive at this huge building in town, it looks like it has 15 floors or more. I park right next to the entrance and then I put my shades on and then I get out of the car. I lock it and whisper to myself "let’s do this".

I spot the reception immediately when I walk in, I walk towards the blonde petite lady who is busy on the phone.

"Hi there I am looking for Jack" I flash her a fake smile, only she can see how ridiculous I look right now.

She hangs up and smiles at me "You mean Mr Parker?" She asks and I remove my shades and then I give her a confused expression.

"Mr Parker this young lady was just looking for you" She turns and looks to the Jack guy who is currently walking in our direction. He places a bunch of papers on the counter and looks to his left where I am currently standing.

"Oh what an unpleasant surprise...Stainless I recall?" He says and I shoot him a glare and he smirks at me, attractive bastard!

"Stacy, you should have showed the young lady to my office, but it's fine I will do the honours, shall we?"
He walks away and I trail off behind him.

We reach the elevator and he presses something, if this building wasn't too big I would have thought he didn't even bother to move the elevator from its position, I mean I've been in this elevator with this twit for too long. One more second in here and I swear I will just die from irritation.

The sound of the elevator brings me back to life. It seems like we’re actually on the 15th floor, and I only see one office, we walk towards it and he opens the door and walks right in.

"Where is that cliché ladies first line?" I ask as I roll my eyes, he ignores my comment and then he sits down on his chair and he gestures that I sit in the chair in front of him.

His office is quite simple, there are two chairs next to the window, a couch next to some door, a door? I wonder what exactly is in there, it better be a restroom. In the middle of his office it's his fancy office desk and chair. I must say there is just too much brown and black going on.

"Okay Layler? Right? What brings you here?"

"This" I say as I give him the papers.
He lets out a shallow laugh.

"You and Bautista do play games a lot right? Bautista already came to my house Sunday and I signed the papers, the route remains yours" He says as he leans back on his seat and then he places his right hand on his chin.
I give him a stern straight face and my phone vibrates with a text.

Bauti: Happy April fool’s day😋.

"Dammit!"

"But seeing that you are here we might as well talk about how we are going to fix your car right?"
I do not really care about the BMW, I've decided to sell it sooner or later so it is not really a big deal.

"Okay listen I came here dressed and ready to create a new first impression over a contract that was signed a long time ago? Wow" I stand up and walk towards the door.

"Layler wait, I mean like what about your car?"

"I'll fix it myself" And with that I walk out of his office. I take out my phone and I text Bauti.

Layler: It's not even April you fool! You played stupid with that one, remember I know how to hide a dead body.

Bauti: Remember I know how to make things look the opposite of what they are.

Layler: Why did you even team up with Jack to prank me?

Bauti: It's Jerry! JERRY! And well because he thought you’re a feisty one and it would be nice to mess with you.

Layler: K

Bauti: I’ll pop in later, count me for dinner, who's going to be there tonight?

Layler: No one.

After that I quickly send my nena a message that we’re going to "Fun city" tonight and that everyone must be ready at 5pm.

Now I am off to the office, I work too hard for a 24 year old.
After work I turn on my phone and I view a text from nena.

Nena: Alex has a basketball game tonight and Alexis is sick so I will be looking after her. Alex is already on his way to the game, it starts in 30 minutes time.

Oh wow great, I’ll just go and bless the little man with my presence...Friday is Alexis's birthday and Saturday it's Alex's birthday.
Thing is they were born on the same year, same month, just that Alex was born 4 hours after Alexis. This might be a good time to get him that car, business is going great so why not? But what will I get Alexis if she is using crutches to walk around and she hardly ever sees the need to leave the house? I'll see.

I get downstairs only to find Jack sitting on the couch by the lobby. Neptune knows why he is here, I do not really care to find out so I walk past him.
The minute I reach my car, I feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Jack?" I turn to him.

"Hey and it's Jerry"

"Yeah Jerry Jack same thing"

"Not really"

"I am sure you didn't stop me just to debate about your real name, you could be a walking hell, and even your heat wouldn't make me notice or feel your presence"

"Are you always this hostile? Listen I just wanted to talk about business over dinner or something"

"You work with Bauti and Bauti gives me the money, go and ask him to eat with you"

"Come on, okay we can go to the park" He says and I let out a mini laugh.

"Park at 6:45pm? Listen pal my brother has a game and you are taking much of my time for no reason so bye"
I open the door to my car and I enter and close it with a bang and whisper "sorry baby" then I drive off.
